We made a last minute reservation here for a quick overnight getaway at the very start of Memorial Day. The people that we spoke to on the phone were super friendly and accommodating, to say the least since I bothered them often. Our plan was to go early on Friday, beat the crowds in the Tahoe region and then get outta dodge on Saturday afternoon. The plan played out perfectly except we would have loved to stay at the Village for a few additional nights. The staff at the front desk was great. We had requested an early check in and that was granted. Earlier than we thought. Perfect. The suite was more than we expected. We wound up in a one bedroom unit that faced the mountain on the 4th floor. The balcony opened up over the common area that included Fireside Pizza and more. Better yet, the view included that big, beautiful mountain and was maybe, maybe 200 steps to reach the gondola. The unit was very clean. There can always be improvements in this area. I can be pretty picky. Over all, this was a well kept unit. It included a full size fridge, great to keep the wine chilled. The bed was super comfortable. The bathroom included a tub/shower combo that we found odd but it all worked. Underground parking is a plus and the paths painted on the ground were easy enough to follow although a paint job should be in their future. All in all, we found this place to check all the boxes when we travel. Even for a day. Restaurants were a bit scarce and will be for a few more weeks and that was ok. We didn't starve :) Can't wait to go back again. It's an incredible area. A great complex and you see the same beauty without the craziness of the south shore.

The village has great shopping. The spa offers fabulous options and the bars and restaurants are limitless. Our hotel was walking distance so it was really nice to have drinks and be able to walk back!

Went for spring skiing. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Room was comfortable, with a great view of the slopes. Parking was ample and easily accessed. The overall village is based around and under the Village condos so access to all of the stores and eateries is maximized. Great hot tubs with a view!!! We were in building 4 which was quick access to the "left" side of the slopes. If you want closer to the main trams request buildings 1 or 2.

We did not get the room that we booked for. I booked a queen studio with the balcony as advertised so we can look out the window and appreciate the view. I asked the girl who checked us in and she said "there is no balcony you picked the cheapest room". I got really embarrassed so I did not insist. How rude! I know spending $700 for the room is not cheap at all. We also did not get a dining table as advertised but a kitchen counter instead. The room (Room101) was very dark and did not look like the picture. Room accommodation and customer service is very disappointing. MAKE SURE upon check in to bring a copy of all the details of the room and insist on what you have reserved for. That was very deceiving. The 2 girls on the front desk this weekend should not be there as the face and representative of the village. They were very cold and short like we were bothering them when we asked questions.

AppleSullivan, I'm sorry you didn't have a great experience while staying with us. Unfortunately, unless you book a room with a view (separate room category when booking), a view facing the mountain is not guaranteed. The studio room types don't fall in that category. I'll make sure to pass the feedback of the front-desk on to their manager. Hopefully we can be better next time.

Loved the convenience of our condo - it worked perfect for a ski vacation for my family. I purchased our lift tickets in advance and received them at check in. Also reserved rentals ahead of time and had a short walk from our condo to pick those up and the lifts were right there too! Rental pick up process was very easy - staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Overall, staff at the resort was very friendly. Free underground parking was a wonderful convenience! Only downfall was eating options - these were already limited because of outdoor only seating, but the hours of operation on the website and online ordering were inconsistent and didn't always work. The one exception was the Fireside Pizza Company, where we ended up eating a couple times -food was great and staff was overly accommodating and helpful! One night I thought I had placed an order there online, but I wasn't sure it went through, so my husband called to check and it hadn't, but the employee took our order over the phone and it was ready in 20 mins (as opposed to the 1.5 hours the website said it would take)! Also - just a note that you can't purchase any alcoholic drinks without a food item at the outdoor slope side areas. Not a deal breaker for us, but many people around us were quite frustrated by this. Not sure if this is just a COVID thing or always... There's a Starbucks in the Village, which gets especially busy prior to the lifts opening - from about 8AM - 9:30AM. Either way, I'd recommend The Village for a great ski getaway! I'd love to return - especially once we're able to more fully enjoy all of the amenities!

Thanks for staying with us and taking the time to leave a review! We're glad you enjoyed the location and overall stay. Just a quick note, as of March 15 we entered the "red" tier of Covid restrictions so dining will be able to offer limited capacity indoor seating. Looks like this came just as your trip ended but hopefully next time you visit we will be at an even better stage and you'll fully be able to enjoy what the village has to offer.
