Was able to book a second floor Queen room and the room was delightfully appointed with seemingly unique and "collected" furniture. The bed was very comfortable -(very high off of the ground) and the linens and accessories were of very good quality. While the room was on the small-side, it was very clean, well-kept, and the staff was absolutely charming... More

Enjoyed our two nights there. Debbie and Tammy made us feel like family and we loved the wine and nibbles each night. Would definitely stay there again. It's close to Ventura where we went whale watching and close to town as well.

I needed a pet-friendly get away to one of my favorite places in Southern California - Ojai. This used to be a "chain" motel, but they've delightfully converted it to a one-of-a-kind motel with the feel of an inn. I stayed here based on the other thoughtful reviews on this site and didn't find any of them to be in... More

I'd like to thank the other in-depth reviewers, they were really helpful. I'll keep mine brief, however. Great value for the money (bargain price) and the location was super convenient - walking distance to downtown and restaurants, grocery stores and the beautiful bike path. The room was charming (quirky) and quite acceptable in terms of cleanliness. Come on, people, it's... More

Great location! But there are a few things that were odd about my room. I will note the good points first and then the things needed. The good points are, big room, big soft bed, gas/electeic fireplace in room, jacuzzi bathtub in room, small alcove off to the side with couch and writing desk with lots of natural sunlight, free... What a lovely spot! Perfectly located in the heart of Ojai, and yet still quiet and charming. A very welcoming and gracious host, Tammy, shared the history of the inn and town and made us feel right at home. A nice perk having a wine and cheese hour in the afternoon. Highly recommend this!

Let me start by saying we loved this inn. It's quirky, and different, perfectly located, and for the area reasonably priced, and I would possibly stay again. Why confused? The room. We loved the enclosed private porch with chairs and a table, and the room was quirky but interesting and mostly comfortable. There are just a few things that bothered us.... More

We needed to spend the night in Ojai after a very nice wedding and thought it was a nice place to spend the night.. The staff were very courteous and willing to serve all our needs. Breakfast was OK, coffee and some muffins and cereals. The decoration was different in every room. Our Suite was clean and comfortable... and we... More

Stayed here one night. This is an older motel that the owner had tried to turn into a more of a B&B experience. Rooms have been furnished with antiques or classic furniture, which gives the rooms a bit of a worn look. Rooms were clean and our bed was comfy. There's a minimal, 24-he raid-the-pantry fridge in the lobby. Continental... More

Had to go to a wedding, found Chantico Inn. If you're looking for a brand new, cookie cutter hotel...this isn't for you. The architecture was great, it had so much character. All the rooms have a small, private patio as you walk out your front door. The pool is heated, also has a spa...very clean. We got the Honeymoon suite... More
