The Imperial Inn is an old Red Roof Inn that is located .8 miles down the street from the Keiser Hospital in Oakland. It also about a half mile from the BART station. The facility has been renovated and is family run. The room was a good size with a small fridge and a microwave. The furniture was all dated,...

The hotel is very clean and the rooms I have been were extremely clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel is very good. I cannot say enough about Harry who is staff member at this hotel. He is exceptionally talented in figuring out the needs of guests and attends professionally and effectively. Matter of fact he was a factor...

I booked this hitel for 4 days through booking.com. I thought I'd save money if I stayed here and commuted to SF. I was wrong. My daughter gorgot her Disney roller suitcase with all her cloths in it. I called hours after I checked out abd the owner said that he personally checked that room as he does with all...

I recently had a one night stay in Oakland. The Imperial Inn was a fraction of the price of the upscale hotels in the city that evening, so I took a chance with this motel. I was pleasantly surprised. The front desk attendant was very friendly. My room faced the courtyard and was pretty quiet. The space was fairly large...

I stayed here for a quick 2-night stay. Was a little hesitant as it is a motel with an outside door. However, the doors face an enclosed courtyard making is more secure. It is not fancy but had everything I needed: clean room and bath, wifi, nice TV , and the room was fairly large. I will say that the...

I am not usually picky with hotels, all I need is for the hotel to be clean. It was a basic comfortable room with 2 double beds. Large dark stains on the carpet throughout the room and on the bedspreads. Bathroom was tiny. Good location, easy to get into San Fran, around the corner from the train station if you...

Everything was fine. We were staying there two nights, room was clean except the mirrors. But all in all - after long drive it was really good place to stay and take a rest, the neighborhood was queit.

Lets be clear, the area is not the nice you can expect like in San Francisco, but not dangerous. U have the Bart at 5 min and in 15 min u are in embarcadero or powel st, also great if u r travelling with the car, private parking. Rooms ok, service ok...dont expect luxury. But worth it to pay way...

After a long drive, the comfortable room we had at this motel was just right (after hauling all our luggage up the stairs to the third floor!) If you come here expecting a luxury hotel, you will be disappointed but do expect helpful, friendly staff. We were having problems with extending our stay but Sandip, one of the members of...

Want a bargain budget hotel? Need to visit UC Berkeley? Want to stay just outside of San Francisco? We found this gem - The Imperial - to be just what we needed. Its not a luxury hotel, so if you're looking for that, keep looking. It's a very well kept, clean, up-to-date hotel with very nice managers. It's close enough...
