The room was clear and they good hotel. Very close to BART. Some of people close by on the edge, but walking distance to Chinatown. Sunday morning at Alice Street Bakery was wonderful. The price was reasonable.

First, thank you to the owner Tiger who called me to tell me that I left my MacBook charger in the room. This saved me $100.00 and I'm super grateful. We stayed here one night on business as the hotel was very close to a venue. Rooms were basic but clean. Hotel was quiet despite being next to freeway. Best...

So sad...Had to come in to Oakland from 6 hours north for a doctor's appointment, and didn't have a lot of time to search for a place. This doesn't look as nice in person as it does on the website. Dark and depressing, and hard to find at night. When you have to get buzzed in by a clerk from...

Booked here for 2 nights as lots cheaper than central hotels and a minutes walk from BART station which costs $6.90 each for a return ticket to San Francisco, we just used Embarcadero stop as this was just 2 stops and a nice walk down the ferry terminal gets you to Fishermans Wharf. Hotel was basic but usable, it wasn't...

Me and My Boyfriend stayed here for a long weekend trip to go to a Oakland game and to see San Francisco. I had high hopes for the place I had read previous reviews and thought that it cant be that bad, and since we are not picky people it would be fine. It worked and it was clean and...

Oakland is a cheaper place to stay than San Francisco for a reason - it is very dodgy. This hotel is located adjacent to a noisy freeway and and across the road from a urine-smelling underpass that is the preserve of the homeless. Opposite the hotel were a number of vehicles which looked as if they had been dumped. The...

Room was OK quite large. It was dated but clean- there was a bit of noise from the freeway but on the other side the location was great- 3 mins walk from Bart/ underground, straight onto the freeway. It offers good value for money but is obviously not luxurious.

We read several comments about the lodge and we were not sure whether the stay was good for us or not. The location is best, five-ten minutes ped walk to the traffic station to Frisco (BART). Approx. 15 min pedwalk to the AMTRAK station and Jack London Square. Also Chinatown and City center or Lake Merrit can be reached by...

Our room was modest, clean, and affordable (compared to most options in the SF area), and it had a small refrigerator, microwave, tv, and, surprisingly, an actual closet. We were within a few blocks of the Bart station and at least two really good restaurants. The motel is on the highway so we were concerned about noise, but that wasn't...

If what you want is to visit San Francisco with your family, you should consider spending more on a hotel on the peninsula, as the BART is so expensive it balances what you pay. For what it's worth, it is in a quiet area, and, surprisingly, you can barely hear the freeway at night.
