I don’t know if she didn’t like people on motorcycles !!
We asked for a room ,Tuesday night .
She gave us prices showed us one room which was a small loft $238… was not a room we liked ..
only other rooms she had were $375 ++
so we left a little disappointed !
We didn’t feel she wanted our business.. looked online they had villas” actually caravan park cabins”
quite nice available for $249 that she failed to mention…
so we got one of those ..
then afterwards I found the lovely rooms she had mentioned for $309 on booking. com
was so disappointed as that is a really good price & we would have booked it 🙁
Had been recommended here from my sister , she said food was great so I’m hoping that will make up for service so far ….

We stayed in one of the villas adjacent to the hotel which was very clean generally with good facilities but did not have a room safe. The outside dining area at the hotel is very large and well positioned and we had a very enjoyable meal there. However we were told that breakfast would not be provided as we were staying in the villas which did not seem very customer friendly as the nearest town Eden! The only option were takeaway baps and muffins - would have been nice to enjoy a breakfast looking out at the wonderful view.

Beautiful venue, stunning outlook and terrific staff!! We stayed in the caravan park adjacent to the Inn and took advantage of their food services. Their coffee was amazing!!! I believe it is a local brew too! They have a pizza van each night selling to the public. Limited options but seemed to cover all tastes however we did not like it at all….. it was a meat lovers. Ordered the pizza and told to come back in about 20 minutes, which we did and it was barely warm. We had paid $28 and expected so much better! We were too hungry and had had a couple of drinks so we couldn’t go and get something else to eat. Lesson learned.

I was so looking forward to staying at the tourist park and being able to walk to the Seahorse Inn for a drink and something to eat.
1st time we were met by the barman wearing a sequin mask with no hello or how are you… but show me you have checked in otherwise you can’t be in here. I showed him that I had checked in no thank you but “what do you want to drink” I walked for a whiskey Sour and with a roll of the eyes he made it - the glass was only 1/2 full and for $18 I would have expected a full glass?? Check out the Byron Bay hotel same drink $16 full glass! I then asked to see the menu and I got “no food now” I said ok what time does lunch finish to which he said “1”…. It was 2 mins to 1.

Two days later we went back again and met by the same barman saying “show Le you have checked in otherwise you won’t be served” I showed him and I then got “where is your mask” I said oh no I have left it on my caravan, do you have spare ones here otherwise it’s quite a big walk up and back and was a hot day - I got “thanks ok we are not closing for hours”… I walked back got my mask then headed back and ordered the whiskey sour again and was amazed that for $18 you actually only get 1/2 glass!

He once again rolled his eyes when I asked for this.

The good thing was we meant some lovely people who camps there every year and they said the food and service has never been great….. at least it wasn’t just us!

The Seahorse Inn looks promising and promotes itself as " a luxurious boutique hotel" and leads you to believe it "offers the astute guest an unforgettable experience of luxury in beautiful scenic surrounds". Well, the surrounds are certainly beautiful, and that's where the truth of these claims end. Our unforgettable experience of luxury started with the complete absence of any help to bring bags up a long curved stair to our room on the first floor. This was complemented by the duo attempting to be musical in the beer garden below our window outside that thankfully ended around 9 pm. The staff work hard in a building that is tired and in need of a good clean. Overall our Xmas holiday experience here was pretty much caravan park meets pub, accentuated by droves of thirsty campers from the adjacent caravan park adding to the pub vibe (the caravan park and hotel are owned by same corporation). In no way could you call this luxurious. On this basis it is also overpriced.

The setting was beautiful, sunrise on the beach breathtaking. Villa #9 average. An ironing board but no iron. Not a single box of tissues anywhere. No salt or pepper in the kitchen. A closet devoid of hangers. Spent $249.00 for one night and neither of the 2 bathrooms had a hair dryer. The Seahorse Inn boldly promotes “luxury” but failed to deliver on the simple basics. Restaurant food was fine albeit expensive $82 for a bowl of soup and a plate of pasta.
The ‘new’ renovations are fine but regrettably the heritage/character of the original building was covered with multiple coats off-white paint. My partner and I were here pre-Covid and we were so looking forward to this visit… but sadly now there’s no need for us to return

I want to start out by saying the front of house ladies were absolutely amazing so lovely and attentive so this review in no way reflects them, however to say that we were disappointed with our lunch is an understatement. I was expecting so much from the Seahorse Inn having booked weeks in advanced thinking that due to its appearance and location it would be buzzing and the food spectacular. However the menu is the most outdated and basic pub food you can imagine. My risotto was bland and tasteless with the gentleman on the table next to us finding a hair in his which is no surprise as none of the chefs were wearing hats. Id also like to add that my partners burger came served on a Tip Top grade bun.......
Having spent close to $100 on lunch we left dissatisfied and with a bad taste in our mouths. Its sad as this place has gigantic potential but the kitchen are letting it down. I dont think I have ever been so disappointed.

Expensive and small fish and chips. The chicken and the holandaise sauce were also more than average for the price we paid. Sorry we expected better meals. It didn't worth to eat there. Have a dink, enjoy the view and book somewhere else to eat :)

This venue is absolutely stunning and a must to see, however the dining experience would suit a retiree for scones and tea.

The food is worded and priced as a 5 star establishment but arrives at your table as a cheap pub style meal.

The salad is dressed with a bulk buy kraft italian dressing and the service is appalling, the waitress made an error then raised her voice at me in front of other diners when she stated she had repeated the order to me which she had entered an entree as an entree then the same dish also as a main meal.

The food is very bland and basic, for the location they should be able to source top quality fresh seafood, yet most seemed to be previously frozen.

Such a shame that the restaurant lets down this beautiful establishment.

If I was rating just the food it would be a 1 star.

My wife and I stayed here in June and loved the place. Our ground floor room was of a good size with tasteful decor and a large modern style bathroom. We had dinner in the dinning room and enjoyed it immensely and to boot they have a good wine selection. All the staff were friendly and professional. We have recommended this establishment to our friends and family. To note, for those travellers that have difficulty with stairs the first floor is accessed by a lovely staircase that might challenge some. I noticed another guest that was in this situation and saw the staff carry his luggage upstairs and carefully assisted him on the stairs to his room. Nevertheless a great place to stay.

Hi coming for a wedding at the seahorses inn, what accommodation is available nearby the hotel please? (It's fully booked)

The trip advisor map will show you alternative accommodation: and the nearby caravan park has cabins I surmise. It's quite close on foot by a driveway to the Seahorse Inn, I think from memory.
