Newport Dunes RV Park is my favorite RV park in Newport Beach, California. Spaces are a little tight, but well maintained. We love the sandy beach, we launch our kayak and paddle the entire Newport bay. Also enjoy walking over to and around Balboa Island. Been several times and will continue visiting. We do not go during holiday weekends, so... More

I have been coming to Newport dunes for 20 years, they are constantly improving the grounds, weekends are busy and holiday weekends are busier, nothing in this place is free so bring your wallet, there is plenty to do for kids there is a great pool, The lagoon is nice and calm and nice if you have a beachfront spa,... The place was great except the trash that was along the water front on the property and the WiFi connection was spoty. But other than that it's affordable and the camping cottages were very snug, but nice and basic. I am looking forward to going back for a longer stay.

We stayed here on New Years one year. Packed in like sardines.. But it was New Years..came back again for one night in January in the middle of a rainstorm, we had to park on "Sandy dirt". The spaces are not paved. At $80 a night, mid week. The place was pretty empty. You are in a flight pattern, so... More

We enjoyed our stay at Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort. The location is awesome. Its just a short walking distance to Balboa Island. You can get there quickly by taking the exclusive walking path through Back Bay View Park and then across the Coast Highway. Fashion Island shopping mall is equally close and can be walked to easily. The RV Park... More

As locals, we love the Dunes. We take our travel trailer down to the Dunes at least twice a year. Typically, we pay for a large space, for our rather small trailer, in order to entertain in our make shift patio. We have family visit for a day and sometimes a guest will stay the night. Guest parking is $10... More

Newport Dunes is all about location. This large RV park and marina is located just off the Pacific Coast Highway and is within walking distance to Balboa Island and the upscale Fashion Island Mall. RVers don't come here for the size of the sites or the amenities. With the exception of only a few incredibly expensive sites, the RV sites... More

We brought in 250 guests for an evening beach party. Much of what we were promised didn't happen. they made us cut the music at 9PM effectively ending the party an hour early (apparently a city rule that was not disclosed). Sales rep was inexperienced and did not communicate. Manager (finally) acknowledged us and promised a $$ concession that never... More

Pluses: Big pitch, clean-ish facilities.. struggling to find some at this price. Minuses: They don't tell you it's basically on the flight path to an airport which has planes taking off low around every 5-10 minutes until very late and very early in the morning, really disruptive. That coupled with the freeway very close was a massive nono for a... More

We booked three nights here for Labor Day. I had fond memories of the place from years past so decided to book our stay here for the weekend.
