My husband and I booked our visit b/c we needed a restful getaway, and the weekend was better than we could have expected. The room (we booked the Empress) and house were beautiful and the distance from town perfect for walking to a restaurant or a shop on a whim. We felt very taken care of with all the details,...

The Emma Nevada House is a beautiful and well-maintained historical B&B. The owners, Andy and Susan, were charming and made us feel right at home with an interesting introduction to the history of the house. We enjoyed a stroll through the pretty gardens around the house and the natural garden in back that borders a small stream. Our room was...

The ambiance of the historic home was warm and elegant. Susan and Andy prepared and served memorable gourmet breakfasts on the balcony overlooking their own private "forest". Our room was clean, very comfortable and decorated in the era suited to the history of the property. Five star facility for accommodations, service and food! We will be back.

We just made our third visit to the Emma Nevada House, but the first with our two boys. This time we stayed in Emma’s Hideaway on the upper floor. It has a separate little “hideaway” room that’s just perfect for small kids. My boys loved it and my husband and I loved the extra bit of privacy it gave us....

Probably the worst experience of our whole August California journey: we booked by phone a room for two nights, as a couple with a 6 years old boy. The manager advise us about the very small size of the last available room (Maid's Chamber), but we were confident about the fact they know we are 3 people (or two and...

We are very sorry for the experience of “Not so good experience here”. We take great pride in our hospitality and the quality of our house. As the rest of our reviews attest, their perception of the Emma Nevada House is extremely unusual. Part of the problem stems from the fact that English was not the first language of these...

My husband and I just got back from Emma Nevada House. It was a great weekend getaway and our first visit to a B & B. Breakfast was amazing, Susan is a great cook. Andy and Susan told us places to visit and history on Nevada City which was very helpful for us. They made us feel right at home....

Andy & Susan went above and beyond in making our visit to Nevada City feel like we were home! So completely warm and inviting. Susan's gourmet breakfasts far exceed any B&B we've ever stayed in (and we do them a lot!) Andy was so informative about the town and surrounding areas. There was so much to do there, we didn't...

My fiancee and I went here for her birthday and had a great time. The innkeepers are extremely friendly. Andy is great at telling stories about Nevada City and it's history\current residents. We would recommend this place to everyone!

It's a combination of attention to detail and charming extras that make a B&B stand out. Andrew and Susan not only serve fantastic gourmet breakfasts, but they tell you how they prepared them. The flower arrangements artfully complement the gorgeous decor, and one charming scene (the collection of bird houses on the porch, the message area by the creek, and...

We decided to combine a wedding in Sacramento and a visit with our niece for a weekend . . . deciding to stay in Nevada City. I mean staying in Sacramento was NO option compared to Nevada City!! What a charming town, , , well preserved, lots of history. I looked on line for a B&B and found the Emma...
