Rooms are each unique and set with period furniture. Ours was the FANTASTIC room on the Waterfall. Continental breakfast always included FRESH Fruit. Good & Healthy not extraordinary. Grounds are isolated and serene. Owner is friendly, helpful, and pleasant.

So much is wonderful about this B&B! It is charming and adorable. The atmosphere is so peaceful. Beautiful waterfall and greenery everywhere. Our room had a balcony with French doors and table and chairs right outside. A perfect place to enjoy our bottle of wine and some amazing cheese from the local cheese shop in Nevada City. Parking can be a challenge in Nevada City, but not if you stay here, you simply walk over the bridge and there are many shops and restaurants to choose from.) **Don't forget to visit the cheese place next to Three Forks). Our Hostess, Priya is so sweet and nice. Very helpful with recommendations of where to go in the area. We also "caught" her making some fresh banana bread for the next mornings breakfast!! Really a nice place to re-charge.

I stayed in the Pyrite room for 2 nights. I think this is the best room, because it overlooks the creek, has double French doors that open to its own private deck with a little staircase down to the common area near the creek. This was way awesome -- fire pit set up, smores fixin's, hammock, lounge chairs in the creek, excellent breakfast, 24 hour free snacks bar, and a powerful, hot shower. The room was really nicely furnished, with lots of hooks to hand your pajamas, etc.
I totally recommend this place, and this room especially.

I stayed at the GCI B&B as happenstance on a work trip. All I can say is that it was a bubble of comfort in an otherwise long and tiring trip.
I arrived in the evening, hungry and needing to wait a few minutes before meeting for a business dinner. There were snacks and my room was ready, and the heater warming the space. I had a small patio overlooking a burbling creek, and I could see the old gold mining flume from the french doors.
Bob& Jep were delightful hosts, and obviously run a smooth & homey operation. Highly recommended.

The first thing one notices is the beautiful surroundings and the feel of the place. It has a cozy look and once inside you are just taken by the decor and elegance. The rooms we had for our stay were gorgeous. Meeting Jep and her husband Bob, the proprietors, was a bonus and can't forget their cute pug Bokchoy. There is so much to this place and the grounds that we plan on coming back many more times! The town is within walking distance and there's so much to explore. One of the best places we've stayed.

What could be said that hasn't already been said? It's so pretty, with lots of attention to detail. My friend and I actually had trouble leaving the property, because it's so nice there! We stayed in one of the two downstairs rooms, which are adorable, each featuring the softest sheets, a private little balcony, and a modernized bathroom. The landscaping out back along the creek is amazing! It is a short walk over a bridge to town. The main areas of the house are spacious and lovely. Breakfast is continental style (but lots of choices of breads and cereals and beautifully cut fruit) during the week, which worked well for us. One night we came "home" and Jep was cooking an amazing Thai dinner outside, which they are thinking of adding in as an option at some point! There is a big outdoor deck to spend time on as well, which is so nice in the summer. But the hosts are what made it an even more perfect stay. Bob and Jep are super friendly but not overbearing at all, they just have a sense of how much interaction their guests may or may not want? They are in and out, available but it is also possible to have common areas to yourself at times. It felt homey and private at the same time. We already want to go back!

Our room as well as the breakfast areas were excellent. But what made this inn stand out and what we will come back for is what it offered in its surrounding grounds. It is built on lovely Deer Creek and the owners have developed the creekside for lounging and cooling off in the creek along with scenic views off multiple balconies that are pleasant both during the day and at night when the grounds are lighted. Its location is a short walk from Nevada City's historical section with its many shops and restaurants and it is across the street from the trailhead for the Tribulation Hiking Trail --- a great day hike.

This place is nothing short of a gem! Looks great on line but even better in person! Accommodations, ambiance, hospitality and food were all outstanding! Nice and very short walk into town for fine dining and activities. Bob and Jep were amazing hosts! And, the breakfast Jep whipped up was as good as any fine restaurant. The overall experience was a 10 on 10 scale! Highly recommend!

Couldn't have picked a better place to spend 2 glorious days seeing snow fall in Nevada city. Super cosy and beautiful place with stunning view of the creek. The hosts are super nice and personal and they take care of every little detail to make guests feel welcome and taken care of. My husband and I are vegetarian and they even cooked us a special breakfast. Totally recommend!
