Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent stay at a great price. Very clean rooms with newly renovated bathroom. Very friendly and helpful staff that go out of the way for kids. Very quiet setting with no road traffic and does not attract loud party people. Exactly what we needed.

We were heading from California to Colorado and decided to stop for the night in Needles. I called from the road to make a reservation and the Best Western (seemingly the best hotel in town) was fully booked so I ended up booking here. I didn't realize until we arrived at the hotel that I booked through a third party site, ReservationDesk.com, where I ended up being misled by a reservation agent into paying a higher price. I'll never do that again. At the normal hotel rate it is worth the price.

I was very apprehensive based on other reviews (that I read after paying for hotel over the phone) but front desk person was so friendly and sweet, our room was extremely clean and neat and the bed was comfortable. Temperatures were 107 AT 10PM, but our room was kept cold with a nonstop window air conditioner. Hot water in the shower was lukewarm, but it wasn't an issue when we were heading out into boiling hot temperatures again the next morning.

A small town, basic, inexpensive motel for one night shouldn't be memorable but this one was and it's because of the couple who manage it. Nick and Sam were outstanding! Friendly, funny, hardworking and it showed. This simple Route 66 roadside motel is clean, fresh, comfortable, and fairly quiet (we did hear a 2:00 am neighbor arrive). Sam met us in the tiny office for breakfast, again simple, but served with such warmth and kindness that I felt like I was staying with family. Her recommendation for a dinner spot led us to the Wagon Wheel, a local joint for decades.

We were very happy with our stay. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. We had to wait a while for hot water, but once we did the shower was hot with great water pressure. The staff was very nice and the price was great. We had to hit the road early and the person at the desk (sadly, I did not get her name) packed up a little "to-go" breakfast that really hit the spot!

Party of 3 adults stated fir one night on our SW Road Trip
Motel is on Main Street with good parking, friendly hosts and the rooms are older however renovated nicely.

Rooms are a decent size Bathroom is good, TV Coffee area, walk in storage /hanger area, good lighting, beds are comfortable. Hairdryer and Ironing board are in each room.

The best part about our stay was the light breakfast served in the entry area. We had boiled egg, toast, oats, coffee/tea, jams or cereal. This got us filled up and caffeinated up for our day !

We enjoyed our stay !

I drove from Oakland to Santa Fe, NM, on Nov. 5th, putting Needles at the ideal halfway point. On the eastern end of the old Rt. 66 strip, the Econolodge is exactly what I was looking for. No reservation required on a Sunday night, ($70), the room was very clean and bed comfortable. Biggest surprise was the fully redone bathroom, including a stall shower with 12” tiles and tasteful style choices. Very well done! And yes, the couple that run the place are so warm and friendly, I will definitely go back both for the quality of the place and it’s charm.

Dirty covered floor, bugs all over, and yellow stains on sheets. We chose this place out of desperation while making a stop on our way back to LA, but in hindsight it was not worth skimping out to save a little bit of money. 10 minutes after checking-in we seriously considered making the 4 hour drive all the way back in the middle of the night instead of staying. My feet were pitch black in the morning, dead bugs were littered on the ground and some were still crawling around, and we slept on top of the blankets due to the insidious yellow stains on the sheets. That said it is a bed, shower, and room for a cheap price, but even then there are minimum standards which were not passed.

I stayed at the Needles EconoLodge on 2/27/23 and 3/6/23 and was completely satisfied with both one-night stays, hence the five-star review The room was clean and quiet and offered all the basics at a reasonable price. The new owners were very friendly and made sure I grabbed a nice little complimentary breakfast before I hit the road. I'll definitely stay again my next time through Needles.

Wife was traveling long distance by car so I made a last minute reservation at this hotel with the Choice Hotels national reservations folks, explaining that I wanted to pay for the room for my wife with my ChoiceRewards points. Agent said no problem and booked it. When wife arrived close to midnight the manager sent her away, refusing to honor the corporate booked reservation. I called reservations back and they called hotel directly to verify, but the manager just argued with them in front of my wife and still refused to honor the reservation. Do yourself a favor, stay at the Red Roof Inn just a couple of miles away....

I am very disappointed to hear that you found our service to be below your standards. But hours before your reservation you called the hotel and they explained you our check in policy regarding ID, Credit Card and Choice Rewards and your answer was " I will go somewhere else" but you booked it any way. When your wife arrived late night manager inform her the same policy but instead of sending simple email with your ID, Credit card and Choice Reward Card you decided to argue and trash us online. Red Roof is one mile away and is great hotel but their policy is the same. I strongly believe she used her id and credit card to check in over there.

This motel was clean and quiet. The bed was okay. The bathroom has a low full sized widow that did not lend itself to privacy. The to go breakfast was an apple, granola bar and Capri Sun drink in a bag. For the cost we did get what we paid for. We might stay here again when we travel to Arizona.
