we only live about 70 miles from the trailhead, but figured it would be best for us to get a good night's sleep without having to get up so early for an anticipated early start. the lodge is a perfect place for this situation. nice people, nice restaurant, clean and quiet room. I will say this -- good thing we... More

Nothing but the best people here. The best place to visit year round is Mt Baldy Village. Something for every season. Skiing, biking, hiking, fishing are just some of the things one can do on a day trip. Stay for the weekend! You'll find games and activities for the whole family at the Mt Baldy Lodge. At night, there's dinner,... More

This is definitely not luxury (so I couldn't justify 5 stars), but funky and clean. The cabins are newly painted, have very clean linens and nice beds, and each has a nice porch with good porch furniture. The pool is wonderful, including a diving board and some pool toys. Ping pong, volleyball (sand underneath), horseshoes - all available for free.... More

The restaurant has really good food. Have only been here in the early and late afternoons after local hikes. The service is pleasant and really quite quick. The burgers are excellent and fries are even better. We stop here after hiking so really hungry but not withstanding that... The burgers are above-average.

We always eat at the lodge restaurant when we're in the Mt. Baldy area, and have been eating here for years. The service is always friendly and prompt, and the food is always good. We've never had a bad meal or service and have eaten here dozens of times. The atmosphere in the restaurant, with solid wood everywhere, large stone... More

We really enjoyed our lunch. The place reminds me my childhood with the fires, the stuffed animal heads, etc. The server was friendly and efficient. The potato soup was thick, hot and tasty. Our son gobbled down his hamburger. The nachos were great as well with lots of chopped pepper, tomato and cheese. No room for desert. Hint order less...servings were... More

We didn't stay at Mt. Baldy Lodge, but we truly enjoyed a hearty home-style lunch there on a chilly day. We were visiting the area from Florida, so just seeing an actual mountain is a thrill. There was no snow (surprising in January) but we stopped in for a warm lunch. The fireplace was blazing. There was a mix of... More

This place is good for a family although the rooms don't accommodate many. Has lots to do onsite and lots of hiking in area. Great climate for the time of year. No cell phones; has internet in restaurant only. Be careful not to park under the pine trees SAP!

“We picked cabin 6, ,which has one sleeping area in a tiny bedroom (2 single beds) and the queen size in the "living room" - it means you are basically w/o a living room, but you can sleep separately from another couple - or from your grandkids!”

“Check their website and trust your instincts. We like the idea of the sofa across from the fireplace, but each cabin is just a little bit different. The website tells the recommended capacity for each cabin. Breakfast served only on Sunday mornings.”
