I was captivated by the wetland views that this place has to offer. The room we stayed in was clean and cozy with a nice fireplace. It also has a good size bathtub. Melanie was very informative and we enjoyed the stories she shared with us during breakfast. The food was exceptional. In fact, my fiance is still talking about...

We spent 2 nights in the Boathouse on the first floor with view of the dunes and river. Our room had a shower, gas fire place and a bed on top of a row boat. The bed was cute but you had to use step to get in and out of it. The breakfast was very good and so were...

We stay in B&Bs all over the country. The Captain's Inn immediately became one of our favorites. Amazing location, lovely, comfortable rooms, warm hospitality and attention to detail..we will return.

As the third respite in a four day walking hike, we have to say that Captain's Inn was the highlight of our inn experiences. Melanie was welcoming, informative, and exceptional in her experience as a native to Moss Landing. We were warmly greeted and given 'the run of the place', as you would expect, but our room overlooking the slough...

Started out hoping to be closer to downtown Monterey but found Moss Landing to be much fun and relaxing. Captain's Inn is conveniently located to boating expeditions, beach, and unique eateries. Would definitely recommend staying for a couples get-away. Comfortable room with great views.

Melanie was so sweet! It just so happened she had a free room for one night over my birthday weekend, and she excepted our reservation. There is a small check-in window for guests, and with my work schedule, I knew we wouldn't make it in time. I arranged with Melanie beforehand, that we would arrive shortly after this. She was...

I have always been afraid of B & B's because I was worried they would be too personal. However this wonderful inn was the right mixture of the personal and letting us be alone. The inn is located in a quaint fishing town which is home to numerous restaurants that will want you to move there (Haute Enchilada and Lemongrass...

Accomodations were comfortable and cozy. Captain's wife is an accomplished chef. Breakfasts were outstanding. Location is handy to all sites in Moss Landing area. Take advantage of Captain's bay tour to observe local marine life.

We had the privilege of staying here for two nights and enjoyed every minute of it. We had the downstairs room in the main house and it was lovely complete with its own fireplace! Quaint and within walking distance of everything in Moss Landing. Melanie and her staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Her breakfasts were to...

We stayed for 4 nights over MotoGp weekend ~ July 22-24, 2011, and can thoroughly recommend. Everything was great, we arrived a little late after a long days drive from LA and was warmly greeted by Melanie the Inn Keeper. She recommended some great restaurants to dine at, and she wasn't wrong! The breakfasts are fantastic and the fresh daily...
