The Inn is under transition. The main Inn has been redone beautifully accentuating the great location on the water. The rooms are small, King Bed and one chair. The balcony was spacious however it was too cold to sit outside. The Rail around the balcony has seen better years. Bathroom is small with a shower, toilet and pedestal sink with...

We arrived in Morro Bay around dinner time on 2/22. The entry to the park was closed and we were informed the hotel was also closed due to a power outage and trees being down in the park. While we certainly understand that this was not the fault of the Inn, the fact that there was no communication from management...

Dear Deborah, The Inn at Morro Bay was fully evacuated due to fallen trees, downed power lines, no phone or internet, the County declared a State of Emergency. We made every attempt to contact all arrivals and our staff worked hard to relocate over 100 guests. The Park Rangers assisted as ALL Staff were evacuated, it is his job. I'm...

This hotel gets kind of a mixed review. While it was clean, and the bed was comfortable (very firm), there was no room to put anything in the bathroom (I hate that!), our bathroom floor was always wet (toilet leaking?), and the internet was not available in the rooms (they said temporarily). The lobby was very nice, and the people...

If you come to this Inn, definitely stay in one of the 400 number rooms that have the fireplace and private patio. It will make your entire stay better. Great rooms, clean, large amount of space, great beds to sleep on and a fireplace to stay warm with if needed. Also enjoyed the Jacuzzi by the pool at night, very...

Upon driving in to The Inn at Morro Bay we were definitely optimistic at what our room would look like. The parking lot is bricklayed and the front of the main building is pretty. The Inn is moderate size with three large separated building. Our room was located in the building adjoining the lobby. Our room had a Bay view....

I have very happily stayed at this hotel before and was surprised and very disappointed at how filthy the rooms where during my last stay. My room had the previous occupant's hair stuck to the bathroom walls and shower, blood smeared on the bathroom door and blood droplets on the carpet. There were cobwebs and trash under the lounge chair...

Dear Katherine, How difficult to read and then share your review with our entire team, Guest Service, Housekeeping and Maintenance. The Historic Inn at Morro Bay has been serving travelers since 1957, and this is not the impression we ever want anyone to have. I too would have been unhappy with an unclean room. Please contact me directly to make...

With beautiful ocean/harbor views, the Inn At Morro Bay is worth a stay. However, it has seen better days. There is some remodeling being done. The lobby and restaurant have been re-decorated. The rooms seem to be getting some attention. Unfortunately, the bathroom remodel was not done well. There is no place to store anything and the shower enclosure(at about...

We love the location and were thrilled with the thought of Thanksgiving dinner there. They ran out of food at 6:30! The turkey was dry and sliced luncheon meat from a deli. The staff was overwhelmed and the manager left when the food ran out. Do not eat here!

We stayed here in early December 2016, on a foggy, rainy weekend. During the brief times the fog lifted over Morro Bay we had a spectacular view of Morro Rock from the dining deck. The property is a little dated but it is great! And the off the beaten path, tranquility & serenity that it offers makes up for some old carpet & peeling paint. We loved it! All the staff we met was fabulous! Great running trails nearby & nature just outside your window. I can't wait to go back!
