We like to take trips occasionally to the Monterey area of California. The last few places we have stayed have changed hands (and pet policies), so we decided to try Casa Munras. This is a wonderful place. And it's a wonderful place for people with kids and/or dogs. It is about 6 blocks to the wharf, an easy, level walk....

First time staying at Casa Munras and won't be the last. We will be bringing our wives next time. Staff was professional, facility is clean, atmosphere was peaceful and couldn't ask for a better price.

This hotel has beautiful rooms and a nice heated swimming pool. The people were very friendly. The breakfast as well as the dinner was good. The hotel location is of walking distance of the sea, were many things are to do and to see.

This facility reflects the history of Monterey in a very nice way. It was a little disorienting at first but after I learned my way around, it was perfect. I interacted with three different people at the front desk during my stay. Each one was more than competent and really met my needs. The room was nicely maintained and very...

We THOUGHT we had reservations at another hotel. They were full and sent us here. They were lovely enough to accommodate us. No complaints. Front desk was lovely. Concierge was still on duty and was very helpful. Property was immaculate that include a fire pit. The restaurant was hopping. The beds were extremely comfortable. I loved the sheets. I recommend...

Though I have always enjoyed my stays at Casa Munras I do not plan to make a reservation again. Just lost $$$ for a planned two night stay due to illness. I understand not getting full refund, but partial credit for future stay or partial refund would be good for customer relations. Time to find a new favorite in Monterey!

If you can't find any better you can stay there for one or two nights ... My room was pretty small and needs a renovation. Bathroom too little. Water supply did not work properly. I am sure for the same price categorie you can find better places. The restaurant was better than the hotel room. Food was good, staff was...

Very nice property with "Old California" charm. The design pure Monterey typified by low-rise buildings with rooms that open to the outside, and parking areas around each building. The rooms are cozy, well appointed and small like hotel rooms in Europe. Baths are nicely updated with spacious showers, and sinks with plenty of counter space. There is one glaring, MAJOR...

I researched carefully and the pictures of the hotel were very nice. Next, I called the hotel directly and was treated kindly so I booked one night. The hotel is decorated beautifully and is within walking distance of the downtown area (the farmer's market was great and music was everywhere) and the pier. Bicycles were available to rent and snacks...

We enjoyed our 2-night stay at Casa Munras. Room was spacious and spotless, and very quiet. The property is lovely with well-tended garden, and a charming pool--perfect for those with children. The adjacent restaurant & bar Estaban serves up delicious tapas at an affordable price. Good reasonable breakfast as well. It's a great place to base a Monterey peninsula getaway,...
