I have stayed at Del Monte Pines twice now, and will certainly return in the future. It is clean, quiet, and quite close to downtown. At $66.00 a night, which is what I paid on my most recent visit, it is a real steal in a very expensive area.

The positive reviews of this hotel are on-the-money. My plan was to find a good hotel for my family's two-day get-way in Monterey/Carmel area and Del Monte Pines had some pleasant extras. The two queen beds were very comfortable, the room was clean and the bathroom had new tiles. The queen-sized beds made the room smaller but there was enough...

The cigarette burn in the middle of the gaudy bedspread of the "non-smoking room" should have been the first clue, the used shampoo bottles and the old coffee grounds in the coffee maker should have been the second and third clues should have prompted us to leave - but no, we stayed and paid way too much for an ugly...

You pretty much get what you pay for with this place. PROS: 1. Great location--easy drive to Fisherman's Wharf, Cannery Row, and the Aquarium. Across the street from a shopping center with several dining opportunities, including a Whole Foods, where you can get really good food to take back to your room. 2. Clean linens and a nice bathroom. 3....

This was a great and affordable place to stay. It was clean, and spacious. Probably the biggest room I've ever seen at a motel. The linens were very, very nice and the bathroom was HUGE (mostly because they put me in the handicapped accessible room). The only really odd thing about the room, was that the microwave was in the...

This is a well-located property. Rooms were clean, bathrooms newly remodeled and nice. The staff was available and accommodating. The pricing is all over the map -- sometimes a great bargain, sometimes really high. I am sure a lot of that is seasonal. I had a very pleasant stay here at a great rate, which helped me afford a round...

We had a wonderful lodging experience at the Del Monte Pines in Monterey. The colorful, comfortable recently remodeled room we stayed in was so relaxing that we slept in and missed breakfast! The quiet atmosphere, the friendly and helpful staff, the smell of pine trees and the sound of birds chirping in the morning made our short stay a memory...

I definately don't see any reasons for those negative reviews. We absolutely LOVED the Del Monte Pines. It was the most inexpensive motel during our whole 3-week-trip through CA ($50) AND the nicest! We stayed here for one night. We booked a room with fireplace and got an even BETTER room on arrival - it had a fireplace AND a...

Just returned from 5 day stay at Del Monte Pines. We are a race team so we required 9 rooms. I booked the rooms in advance and had no problems making the reservation or modifying it. There was a large variety of king sized rooms as well as double beds to accomodate our team. The rooms were very pleasant. More...

A group of us decided to take a road trip on our motorcycles. My friend and I had won tickets to the Monterey Aquarium. So we needed a place to stay. We found the Del Monte Pines hotel. Not knowing what we had reserved we arrived and found the place very cute and comfortable. King bed, fireplace in the rooms,...
