This little "resort" between the main road and the river is pretty small, but has a great garden, picnic area, outdoor BBQ, and access to the river. The rooms definitely need upgrading. The vegetation is so thick, that our so-called river view room did not have a river view at all. But the grounds are nice and we enjoyed the...

With many wedding guests traveling from afar, our daughter announced that for their wedding she and her fiance wanted a casual place that we could "commandeer" for a whole weekend. A place that had lodging, ceremony, reception and rehearsal dinner space. REALLY?? After a great deal of research we discovered Rio Villa Beach Resort and it could not have been...

We were travelling with a grown-up daughter and needed two rooms so this place fitted the bill. Our room ( #10) had a cabin-style front porch and a balcony overlooking the grounds and river. There wee plenty of places to sit and read/relax in the peaceful 'resort' grounds too.x The cabin was comfortable, nicely decorated and well maintained and the...

We did a last minute getaway from San Francisco for just one night. On arrival, we explored the gardens which were well kept, yet peaceful. My son had a ball exploring all the nooks and crannies of the beach house, and the different paths. Our balcony overlooked the river, and we spent a beautiful evening sipping wine under the moonlight,...

We visited for our 33rd Anniversary because we heard this was a nice quiet place, comfortable and quaint to stay. They are like small cottages. Some have balconies that overlook the river. The staff is very pleasant and the owner was wonderful to us, very helpful with recommendations for food and attractions. It is a short drive to several wineries...

It is a curious mix, Beautiful and appealing outdoor ambience.. nice patio, beautiful flowers and trees, meandering river.. Rooms are straight out of the 1970s or before, window A/C which was not real efficient, everything "older". The staff was very amenable and pleasant. I was attending an outdoor wedding which was BEAUTIFUL.. the vows had the river as a backdrop,...

We thought this might be a fun stop on our trip between the Sonoma Coast and wine country and we were a bit disappointed. I wish I could be more enthusiastic but it was just ok in an early-sixties retro sort of way (which I'm totally fine with) but the pricing was all wrong. Positives? Sure: comfortable bed, peaceful balcony...

Great old time Russian River motel with updated two-room rustic cabins. Good continental breakfast. Each cabin has deck seating and there are several very pleasant sitting areas on the way down to the river where you can picnic and swim. Can walk next door to deli and get picnic goodies.

We stayed there in May and we got the corner room. I think they call it the couple/romantic room. Our room was away from the street so it was quiet and also has a balcony with the view of the river. The room was clean although a little dated. Some of the rooms are being renovated and they look great...

Came for two nights and stayed six, everyday we just couldn't leave. Couldn't be more adorable, great service, gorgeous, total relaxation. I'll definitely be back. I LOVE it here. The grounds are so beautiful, the trees and breeze are intoxicating.
