Stayed for 3 nights in a two bedroom, two bath loft-style room with two comfortable beds. We had two additional hide-a-bed sofas which were quite uncomfortable. Narrow spiral staircase leads to loft bedroom. Loose screens on windows led to some flying insects. Also quite a few spider webs and spiders in room but I guess that goes with being in the woods. No cell service is understandable in a remote location but most of the time we could not get WiFi either. WiFi was supposed to be available in the lodge but no one in our group was able to get on for more than a few minutes our entire stay. Friendly staff but admittedly short staffed. Breakfast was included and was tasty but wait too long due to the short staffing. No room service or maid service, probably due to COVID but we did not even get fresh towels or coffee packets. Our particular room did not have a table or chairs so the four of us had to squeeze together on the sofa and a single side chair. There was a gas fireplace and ceiling fans but no air conditioning. The outdoor areas are nicely landscaped and we saw a lot of birds in the nearby meadow. There was a nightly bonfire at a fire pit for guests. A small campers grocery store associated with this property is located just across the street. All in all it’s a decent place and I would return except not worth the luxury pricing.

We had a great stay here in April and would definitely recommend this property. Our cabin was spacious, immaculate, and well laid out, with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The cabin (Nighthawk) we stayed in was a duplex, with a shared wall, but we never heard the people who were staying next to us and it felt very private. The property itself is gorgeous, with sweeping views across a meadow. There is a central fire pit that we used each night as we watched the stars. And the people who worked in the lodge and restaurant were all so kind and helpful! The restaurant was cozy (but safe), with friendly service and tasty food. And, the chefs even went out of their way to make us a special meal. The Innkeeper, Marissa, was wonderful. She had great intel on activities in the area, such as hiking, fishing, and biking. And, she even helped us by mailing a few items we left behind. Cell and wi-if service is understandably spotty in the area and on the property, given that it is remote. That didn’t detract from the visit and there is wi-if available in the main lodge if needed (and a little digital detox is good for the brain and soul).

We stayed here for 2 nights (3/10/21-3/12/21) to visit Lassen Volcanic Nat'l Park (southwest entrance; some park parts are closed due to covid and inclement weather) - 2 different rooms. Both rooms are nice, have comfy bed, mini fridge. We slept good (we heard only one vehicle drove by but not bad that it will bother your sleep, besides there are hardly any passing by at night). Stayed at Silhouette room the first night, Serenity on the 2nd. Serenity has hot tub which we took advantage of while star gazing, sssooo beautiful!!! (tub is outside your patio door less than 10 steps), highly recommend!!! We snowshoed, yes from outside the cottage all the way to the tree line of the mountain facing highlands ranch resort (on your own snow shoeing) and its so much fun and fulfilling !!! We rented the snowshoe across the street (you can rent it half day or full day for $40 (around that price) , we did full day, the lady there is so nice and she has a map (trail) for snowshoeing within the area so no need to go to Lassen). Stay came with breakfast-hot, made to order breakfast, the food is good-breakfast, lunch, dinner, you won't get disappointed. They (staff) are all nice and accommodating; excellent customer service, I must say!!!! The view is magnificent!!!! (from all the cottages) Both cottages are nice!!! we love the serenity room - bec of the hot tub :) and it's by itself so more private. Here are some pics I took during our stay. A must visit place to relax, and unwind.

We had the nicest time at the Highlands Ranch Resort. The room was spotless and the radiant in floor heating in the bathroom was a welcome treat. We especially enjoyed the outside fire pit (make sure you look at this as it is stunning!) with red Adirondack chairs surrounding the circle. We rented snowshoes at the store across the street and loved breaking trail around the meadow. Breakfast & dinner were both spectacular and exceeded our expectations. It was also nice to have a refrigerator on our room. We stayed in Night Hawk #6.

We stayed 3 nights - 2 in Meadows Edge and 1 in Timber Ridge. The cabins are lovely, clean and comfortable. The heated bathroom floors are a nice touch. We enjoyed sitting on the porch chairs and enjoyed the hot tub with the night sky. The star gazing is incredible. The fireplace does a nice job of heating the room and adding a romantic flair. The proximity to the national park 2 south entrances is a really big plus. They have a store on property with some snacks and other misc goods. The breakfast was quiet tasty. We were able to sit inside and enjoy. For dinner it was only outside seating - bundle up!! The dinner was ok, ate 3 nights and the hamburger and fries were our favorite. It’s not on the menu but know you can order one. The wifi is only available at the lodge restaurant. Service was spotty in our cabin. Erin and Tim treated us very well and helped make our stay enjoyable. Thanks for going the extra mile with our “to go” breakfast on our last night due to our Early departure. Overall we were very pleased to find a nice place near the park.
