We ADORE this place and have stayed here twice, both times in the Raven room which is a top room w/a wonderful view, deep tub/jacuzzi and the most comfy bed ever. The breakfasts are amazing and the location is walkable to everything.

This was a lovely B&B with great service and an excellent breakfast. The food was delicious and served in sensible portions. Our room at the JD House was clean, had a lovely fireplace, an extremely comfortable bed, a balcony and an ocean view. Although it was too cold to sit on the balcony, it was a beautiful view and lovely...

My husband is not a Bed and Breakfast guy but LOVED staying at the Blue Door. We had a gorgeous room with a view of the water. It was quaint and in keeping with the history of the area in the furnishings and refurbished house. The hosts, John and Ruby, made it very homey with their delicious breakfasts and hospitality....

The JD House, one of the Blue Door group of boutique inns, offers a perfect location for a weekend getaway in Mendocino and a beautiful view of the foggy cove. My husband, tween son, and I drove up from Palo Alto. We walked to the beach, shops, two grocery stores, and restaurants—all minutes from our suite in a historic building...

We spent two nights here. We had a small room but it was tastefully furnished and felt really comfortable. No TV for us (there are flat screens in other rooms) but free wifi. The host, Jon, was super helpful and friendly and very accommodating. Even if we over stayed at the free wine happy hour he was very gracious and...

Loved staying with The Blue Door group properties. The facilities were beautiful and well kept. Highly recommend as every detail was perfect. Loved the free wine and cheese hour. The breakfast was lovely and delicious! Hope to visit some of their other properties someday. You will not be disappointed!

We loved staying here. They make late night check-ins so easy and serve a delicious breakfast, much better than you expect from a typical hotel or B&B. It says multiple locations, but all the rooms are located within about a block of each other so it's very easy to go between them. Parking was no problem-they have a couple dedicated...

We stayed in Kit's Cabin. It was cute, clean, and quiet. The breakfast was good. The grounds were pretty. John and staff were nice and friendly. The location of the JD house was great for walking all over the town of Mendocino. We had a very enjoyable time.

The room was exceptionally clean, the sheets were white and crispy. John was very welcoming and Ruby takes pride in preparing breakfast. We had warm cookies or scones in the afternoon. The view of the ocean is remarkable. I highly recommend JD house.

We booked two rooms in the 3-inn property and everything was very good/excellent. We were an awkward family of 5 so two rooms, two blocks apart was weird. In the end, it worked out fine because parents divided and conquered. The larger room (a junior suite) had fantastic space and a beautiful large bathroom and deck - the smaller room...
