My 20 year old daughter and I stayed here while on a road trip. We were getting in late and so we called and made a reservation, they close at 8, but left us instructions on the door. We didn't need too much space with getting in late and hitting the road again the next morning. We stayed in the...

Perfect place to stay. The room was perfect and comfortable. Delicious breakfast. Lovely cozy inn with a beautiful garden right in the village. We walked the headlands and up the Big River right from the front gate. Would definitely stay here again.

My daughters and I spent three nights last week. We each had our own room and each one was charming, the beds comfortable and cozy with plenty of room for us all to gather after a day of touring the area. Each of us had a view of the coastline and the small city park directly across the street from...

The hosts were gracious as usual. At this time of year, the garden in the back was especially beautiful. A nice place for some quiet reflection, listening to birds, and seeing humming birds. Try the shed in the middle of this garden.

I highly recommend staying at The Seagull Inn Bed and Breakfast in Mendocino. It is quaint and the hosts see to your every need. Breakfast is brought to your room each morning or you may choose to eat at one of the lovely tables located in the gardens on the premises. We will definitely be back to this lovely place...

I just made my second visit to Mendocino and the Sea Gull. Both were as wonderful as I remembered! I arrived on a rainy afternoon to be welcomed by the very friendly and helpful Laura, who gave me lots of tips on places to go in town, and the smell of the delicious blueberry bergamot muffins she had just baked...

Staying at the Sea Gull Inn was the perfect decision for our weekend in Mendocino - the location right in town was unbeatable, our room kept us comfortable and relaxed, and both breakfasts were absolutely delicious. The owners also provided a couple of personal touches that really made us feel at home. Could not recommend more highly!

The staff was very helpful and accommodating but our room had a single chair due to the tight quarters. The breakfast, served each day to our room, was very good and filling, but we missed the opportunity to meet with the other guests around the morning repast.

One word: FABULOUS! I absolutely loved this place. I stayed just one night as a get-away trip and it was such a great experience. It was extremely quiet at night and I had very restful sleep. The room was cozy and pristine. In the morning, owner Jim delivered a gourmet breakfast right to my room. It was delicious and so...

Three nights at the Sea Gull Inn and I'm rested and ready to go. From the first step into the gardens you know you'll enjoy your stay, checking in we got a map and the lowdown of the restaurants. This old 1878 Inn has the typical quarks of a historic building, but they simply add to the charm. While we...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to Mendocino CA and Sea Gull Inn, one of the original B&B Inns on the scenic Northern California Coast. The house was built in 1878. A giant Holly tree shades the front porch. The private garden has several secluded sitting areas. Meticulously maintained, the inn and its grounds are very much a part of Mendocino's charm.
