This "ancient" Inn is an absolute delight! Their menu is outstanding and the free breakfast is delicious! They have a wrap around glass enclosed porch which we ate in. Great views of the area. We stayed in the attic room and the bathroom was down a flight of stairs which we loved. Mendocino is such a beautiful town and this...

Perfect get-away retreat comprised of inspirational views, superb welcoming staffing and one of the most comfortable beds known to (wo)man. Within walking distance to everything the town has to offer, including the beach/river but at the same time the suites are tucked away offering solitude and peace. It always feels like the stay is too short. Highly recommended for this...

This beautiful inn lives up to its reputation, with beautiful grounds in natural landscaping, on a quiet street with view of the ocean, with rooms that look like cottages or barns from the outside, but are luxurious and comfortable on the inside. I stayed in room 8 and loved the room, with a large bathroom with claw foot rub. My...

Pros: dog friendly, great breakfast (did not eat dinner) front grassy yard with adirondack chairs was a delightful place to sit outside, perfect "in town" location Cons: we had 2 cottage rooms with patios and hot tubs / beds and pillows were very comfortable but the rooms where not shabby chic, just plain shabby - almost creepy patios were in...

Beautiful grounds. We stayed in room 15, which was in the "barn" but it was just lovely. Room was next to the outdoor hot tub,but we had plans to attend the symphony in the tent within walking distance. The room has high wooden ceilings and bare floors, but was comfortable and clean. The breakfast from their Menu in the restaurant...

We stayed in cabin 10 and it was a quiet stay. It does border Ukiah street and is divided into 2 units. I believe cabin 8 was an individual one if you do not want to be near the street in case there was a lot of traffic. We stayed 1 night on a Monday. This place was the best...

The property is scattered among several cottages and outbuildings in addition to the main house, much of which dates from the 1880’s. One is a converted water tower, another was a barn, one is 4-5 blocks away, and another is a tiny playhouse whose bath is across a bit of public garden. Suffice it to say that the 30 or...

We had the pleasure of staying at the View Crest Lodge on our West Coast escapade, Mendocino turned out to be a lovely stop on our drive from San Fransisco towards the Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park. We stayed in room no 1 and it was gorgeous, plenty of space, loved the bathtub. Overall the room was decorated with such...

We stayed here for one night and were somewhat disappointed with our overall visit. We selected the property because of its rating on this site. Initial impressions were fine. Check in was efficient and we were allocated unit 10. This unit backs onto Ukiah Street and has a hot tub. The room itself was a good size and as expected...

My wife and I took the attic room which was nice but the bathroom was a walk down some stairs outside the room which wasn't very convenient. Otherwise the hotel is beautiful. The restaurant is fantastic with wonderful modern American cooking. The complimentary cooked breakfasts in the morning come from the same restaurant. There is also a very nice bar...
