As we traveled South from Oregon on the way to Carmel, Mendicino was one of our stops. So glad we picked the Blackberry Inn. The exterior looks like an old western town. We were in the boarding house room, which seemed to fit. It was stepping back into my grandmothers house. Floral print on the wallpaper, the art work on...

Just spent a night with my hubby and pup "Henry"... Very friendly reception and helpful with the many wonderful restaurant choices. We stayed in one of 3 pet friendly rooms the Livery. It was really clean and comfortable with a rustic charm.

Welcoming, dog-friendly, quiet, and reasonably priced (for the region). Their cutesy, home-sweet-home decor isn't my normal style, but it seems hard to avoid in this area and these are larger than normal and comfortable. They have a comfortable sitting area (rocking chairs in some rooms, little wicker settees in others) facing windows out over the lawn with a peak of...

I'm not really sure what's with the Wild West theme with the Blackberry Inn. There was no wild west and cowboys in Mendocino, which was mostly a fishing town back in the day. But be that as it may, the Blackberry Inn is a very nice place, with nice rooms and it's very comfortable and clean. We were in the...

Really cute themed cottages to stay in. Lovely real fire and couples hot tub overlooking the headlands. Comfortable bed and cosy armchairs to sit by the fire. Decent wifi. Nice complimentary cookies and muffins. But... 1) it's expensive 2) it is a short 5 min drive to Mendocino town. You could walk it but it involves crossing a really huge...

What a wonderful little inn! The humor and charm of the outside is matched by the warmth and coziness of the inside. Our room was clean and bright even on a stormy day. The inn is far enough from the road to be peaceful and really quiet but we could still see the ocean and even hear it a bit....

We stayed her for two nights in September while attending a wedding weekend nearby in Mendocino. Each of the units is unique which makes it a different experience. While it is a little dated (particularly the bathroom could use some upgrades), the room was clean and well supplied (including a refrigerator and microwave oven). Our room (Assayer) also had a...

The Blackberry Inn is cute and quiet. It is thematic and not fancy or modern in any way. We stayed in the sweetly furnished Barbershop room with a fine view over a large yard towards the ocean. The clean room boasted an armoire, two (somewhat rickety) bedside tables, an 8 drawer dresser!, a large refrigerator, microwave, plates and utensils, and...

  • Spots all over the carpet. Probably the source of the bad smell.
  • Can't they see the drapes are about to fall down?
  • Two hangars. Are they kidding?
  • Crumbs on carpet near baseboard. More inattention by the cleaners.
  • How tough would it be to touch up the caulk on the bathroom sink?
