Oakwood apartments in Marina del Rey is very nice place to stay. I'm glad that I've chosen this property during our visit in L.A. for one week. Check-in was fast, we signed needed documents and we were given keys and cards with instruction how to...More

I gave this place a try, booked 3 nights in a studio apartment . I must say I'm very impressed , the place was clean and ample bedding etc was provided. The kitchen has everything you need and the equipment is in good order.

Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it
happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.

no. don't bother. it's awful
staff cant be bothered when you raise an issue and it takes days to get the broken stuff fixed. Also steps everywhere incl. up to the front door and no access for wheeling luggage or less able people. A ting pokey horrible batbroom dated rooms no AC in bedrooms so it was really uncomfortable also it's so noisy even with Windows closed. We left three days into our 8 day stay and got a refund from our travel company . The hotel is old overly complex and difficult.to find your way around and not very clean
