This Motel is poorly run and they take your money from your card without authority. When booking the room through Booking.com I was concerned that the room allocated was described as suitable for 2, there are 3 of us. So I messaged through asking to confirm that they knew that there were 3 of us and that we needed a...

This place is terrible, the service is unprofessional and the staff is just rude. We had to wait 5 hours for our room and got charged an extra 100 dollars for nothing! A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY and there is nothing close by, do not recommend. Scully, one of the employees, is so so rude and made us move out...

After the hustle and bustle of LAX Malibu Country Inn just 1 hr away drive during rush hour traffic was a nice resting spot. We arrived beginning of week. Was pleasantly greeted upon our arrival. Check in was fast and efficient in this small inn. We had a king garden view #18 which had its own walled in porch (ok...

On the recommendation of a friend, my wife, daughter, and I stayed at the Malibu Country Inn, just off the Pacific Coast Highway and a 5-minute walk to popular Zuma Beach. The location was terrific, the room (with a king bed, pull-out couch, gas fireplace, and a mini-kitchenette) was spacious and clean, with a semi-private deck and a nice view...

My husband and I spent the night here & wish we could have spent another night...the room we had was the ocean view nice...it's large & comfy...my only complaint is there was no hot water the next morning...the front desk explained it was a complication of the winds and knocked 10% off our stay... over all I enjoyed my stay...

Maybe not for everyone but I had a great stay if only for one night.. Had a business meeting in Malibu and decided to stay here rather then a massive traffic jam back to LA.. Well worth it.. What you see is what you get.. Nice upmarket country inn.. Close to Malibu and above Zuma beach if r&r on the...

The inn was beautiful (the landscaping was spectacular) and the staff could not have been nicer! The young man behind the desk helped us with directions, travel times and parking. We stayed in an ocean view suite, which was gorgeous. Insofar as the restaurant is concerned, we had drinks outside one afternoon (very pretty) and breakfast inside one morning (the...

The location is amazing; just a short walk from a beautiful beach. The room is equipped reasonably well but for the amount it cost us, I would personally consider going elsewhere. This is not a criticism but to pay $850 for three nights was over the top.

Nice clean friendly staff. Too bad that in 2015 there are motels/inns that don't have a/c. Unfortunately with global warming we in CA have higher humidity levels and temps that you need to cool down. Overall not a bad place. Prices are to be expected as you are in Malibu.

Staying in Malibu

Neighbourhood Profile
Malibu
The Malibu coastline is like a chameleon. In some areas it resembles the French Riviera with its lush, green hillsides descending into crescent-shaped shorelines. In others, it feels 100% Southern Californian with beaches wide and flat as a football field, and often crowded with beach-goers lounging on towels and playing volleyball. Other coastlines still feel secluded, tucked under tall cliffs and dotted with stunning rock formations. In certain areas, where the ocean waves are just right, surfers can be seen bobbing in the water. Up in the mountains to the east hikers take in truly stunning views of the ocean and the sprawling Los Angeles landscape. And along Pacific Coast Highway, restaurants are filled with visitors and locals from all walks of life. Stumble into the right place at the right time, and you’ll likely encounter a celebrity.
