We spent 4 nights at the Malibu Beach Inn, and I have to say that they do a lot right. I found there to be almost no nice hotels in Malibu, so I was glad to have found it. I read that it had been taken over by new owners recently, and you get the sense that the management staff...

I can't wait to come back. Charming, lovely spot on the sand. Great rooms, oceanfront views, service. Complimentary homemade chocolate cookies before bed. Fell asleep each night to the lulling sound of the ocean. Highly recommend for any occasion.

After spending a week in Cali we decided to have dinner in Malibu. Google rated Malibu Beach Inn at 4.2 stars so we didn't hesitate. We all know we live in a social world these days, so I'm not sure why there was a lack of awareness. The bartender Joey was wonderful. The wait staff had a chip on their...

Gorgeous boutique hotel ... meeting friend attending Pepperdine ... wonderful dinner at hotel ... a visit to Getty's Villa ... close to LAX ... one night stay this time but it needs at least two nights to fully enjoy this hotel's amenities! The reception desk was oh so friendly, she handled a sore situation in hand beautifully with a kept...

We only stayed for a night as part of a trip through Route 1 from LA to San Francisco but our experience was really good. The ambiance was very lively but our room was quiet and had direct views to the beach. The only reason I gave it a four was because even though the hotel obviously offers room service...

This past week we celebrated our Anniversary for one evening. A quick & easy get-a-way for us. My husband and I enjoy falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves. And this location delivers that wonderful perk but not too many others. The rooms are nicely sized, clean, with wonderful balconies and face the ocean. They are decorated in tones...

We enjoyed our stay at the Malibu beach inn. Our room was particularly nice, spacious, well decorated and with a good sized balcony that overlooked the boardwalk. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful too. Just wanted to note two expenses that were added on to what was a pretty pricey stay anyway- 35 dollars a night for valet parking...

I had the pleasure of staying here with my wife and daughter. We were taking our daughter out to go to Pepperdine University. I had three reservations for back to back days and they arranged it at the hotel for us to stay in the same room all days without having to move. The staff is very friendly and helped...

Staying in Malibu

Neighbourhood Profile
The Malibu coastline is like a chameleon. In some areas it resembles the French Riviera with its lush, green hillsides descending into crescent-shaped shorelines. In others, it feels 100% Southern Californian with beaches wide and flat as a football field, and often crowded with beach-goers lounging on towels and playing volleyball. Other coastlines still feel secluded, tucked under tall cliffs and dotted with stunning rock formations. In certain areas, where the ocean waves are just right, surfers can be seen bobbing in the water. Up in the mountains to the east hikers take in truly stunning views of the ocean and the sprawling Los Angeles landscape. And along Pacific Coast Highway, restaurants are filled with visitors and locals from all walks of life. Stumble into the right place at the right time, and you’ll likely encounter a celebrity.
