One can easily walk to any of the excellent Los Gatos downtown restaurants, although the very best LG restaurant, Nick's Next Door is indeed "next door". The Pastaria has take out just across the street, and ice cream cravings are also handled nearby. We have the small well equipped kitchenette w/ dishes, pots and pans, and used the patio BBQ...

I needed a hotel for my 83 year old Aunt who was visiting. I wanted charm & a safe, quiet location but, was not able to spend much more than $125 with taxes. I did not think this was achievable in high end Los Gatos of all places! This was perfect, in my opinion. My Aunt is used to luxury...

This is a quaint place to stay. It is a great location in a very walkable community. The room was clean and homey. The garden and outdoor space is beautiful. Better for couples than a family. Marilyn Monroe stayed here several times.

Great place to stay, its an older place but I was surprised by how clean and nice our room was. The room had wood tile on the floor, the bathroom was in great shape, the bed was comfortable and the shower was huge. The place has a nice courtyard in the middle to hang out in when the weather is...

Have stayed here now for two 3-day trips in the last month working in the South Bay. Rooms are very good - clean, very quiet and comfortable. The rooms are a little small, but fine for 1 or 2 people. Bathrooms might stand a little updating, otherwise no complaints! Beautiful courtyard for relaxing after work, sharing a take-out meal or...

I have stayed in this hotel at least 5 times, and will again this month. Location is wonderful, it is in downtown Los Gatos, and it is so easy to walk everywhere. Front desk staff is helpful. Could do better on breakfast, what is available is basically granola bars and coffee, but with so many good breakfast places nearby, it...

Delightfully old fashioned style. Our room was clean and pleasant and we couldn't ask for a better placement in Los Gatos. We originally hoped to stay closer to our Sunday brunch with friends in Aptos, but things were either booked or over the top price wise. The Garden Inn does in fact have nice plantings around its charming collection of...

My wife and I attended a wedding near Ben Lomond and wanted to stay overnight in the general area after the reception. During peak season the hotel rates are ridiculously high, but the Garden Inn offered a room rate that was far less than half of the other options we could find. The inn has a nice feel to it,...

We were in Los Gatos for a wedding and one of the hotels that had room blocked was the Garden Inn Hotel. It is only given two stars but it was way better then that. I would give it a 3.5 the rooms were clean, a/c ceiling fan, full kitchen, coffee, internet and quiet. We were just a few short...

“I loved my room with the full kitchen because I was staying almost a week. And the lovely rose garden right outside my door totally made my day each morning! Air conditioning worked great, all appliances were in good repair, and there were plenty of clean linens -- If I needed anything, I just asked one of the housekeepers, and it magically appeared! At $154/night for their most expensive fully-equipped room, you won't find a better deal anywhere in the area! I am a very light sleeper, but my room was exceedingly quiet. I slept in nearly every morning past 7:00! The parking at night can be a challenge, so I had to park in a handicapped spot twice because I came back to the hotel quite late. But I would just get up early and move the car before 8:00 a.m. when other spaces would open up as people left.”
