The hotel is located right next to Interstate 405 which makes it relatively easy to access other parts of Los Angeles. The downside is that the rooms facing the freeway probably have the constant din of the freeway traffic. Fortunately, I had a room on the other side which was updated, comfortable, clean and tastefully furnished.

The restaurant on the 17th floor was satisfactory, and the service was good. The pastries in the ground floor coffee shop however, were tasteless and somewhat stale.

The parking lot is easily accessible which makes me wonder why they need valet parking.

Overall, my stay was pleasant and I would stay there again if I’m in the area.

Loved our stay here. The rooms were very clean, spacious and well decorated. We had a small balcony overlooking the motorway but it was quiet inside the room. The bathroom was lovely although the shower pressure could have been better. Check in was straightforward. We had everything we needed including a coffee machine, ice bucket (ice machine just up the corridor), iron, hairdryer and fridge. The restaurant/bar on the top floor had amazing views of the city and was a relaxed place for a drink. There is a daily happy hour too. Food was very good. My absolute favourite bit was the pool area. The pool was a lovely temperature and the area was sunny for most of the day. It was a very well presented area with lovely sun beds and cushions everywhere and I loved being there. There is a little cafe-bar beside the pool too. The complimentary wine hour from 4pm till 5pm was a lovely touch and Brian was very accommodating. You could take the wine back to the pool in a plastic cup and there were always at least 2 choices of wine to try. There was also a lovely lobby area to relax and drink your wine in. The valet parking staff were really friendly and helpful and always took an interest in you. We got a deal with free valet parking so that was good. For a hotel of this standard in this part of LA I thought it was very good value. All in all very impressed.

Cool hotel and the price is not bad. The pool area is quite nice and so is the fitness center, although they need to ditch the Peloton and get a stationary bike that works. The biggest problem this place has, and the reason my review is not better, is that it's extremely difficult to get breakfast. The upstairs restaurant has one waiter and I sat there for 15 minutes without any acknowledgment I left for the downstairs café. All they have is smoothies, bagels, And convenience store sandwiches I was going to order the smoothie, but they were out of strawberries and the two bananas they had left were completely brown and bruised.

I made our reservation online with this request: "If possible please highest available floor in a quiet location." The hotel staff replied saying they had noted my request and would do their best to accommodate. We were assigned to room 1111, which is directly above the freeway. The room was so noisy that upon entering, I called the front desk to ask if there was by chance a vacant room on the quiet side of the hotel. I was told the only room on that side had 2 double beds, not the king bed we reserved. We decided to stay in 1111, which was a HUGE mistake. We both had trouble sleeping, as the freeway noise is nonstop. It doesn't stop after midnight, or at 2 or 3 o'clock in the early morning, it is constant. We had driven 6-7 hours that morning, and had to drive 6-7 hours upon our departure. It was a very troublesome night, with poor sleep. Upon checkout I mentioned this and asked if anything could be done, even a small gesture like comping our $20 parking or our $26 breakfast. I was told "Sorry, we do not do that." The location is convenient and the West Restaurant offered great food and service. But with the noise factor making it difficult to get a good night's sleep, and refusal of the hotel to offer even token compensation for the inconvenience, I do not see how I would ever choose to return for another stay.

The location of the hotel is excellent.
There is a good quality price relation. The rooms are modern and spacious. It is advisable to upgrade to a superior room because it does not face the highway and is less noisy.
Be careful with parking, which is excessively expensive and costs 40 dollars a day.

This whole reservation experience was bad. I reserved a book now pay later with no deposit. One day before our stay "without being notified" that my card would be charged for the first night before we even got there. That would've been fine had that been communicated while reserving. I called and Russell stated it was to make sure we were coming. I explained we are but our flight gets in late. He goes to say that he has to run my card for the first night or we are not guaranteed our reservation. I went ahead and made the first night payment because me and my wife were coming. Our flight ended up getting delayed even more due to computer issues so we arrived at the hotel even later than I told them but I didn't worry because I had already paid the first night. Well when we get there the staff tells me more unexpected news that wasn't what I agreed upon. The young lady that was working the night of August 18th was very rude with getting us checked in. I explained how I made the reservation and she proceeded to tell me since the hotel is packed they need to fully charge my card NOW for all three nights and a $250 deposit to make sure we are staying. I hate that the hotels excuse for the. Charging my card without authorization was "We want to make sure you're staying". Fact was the hotel was sold out and I received the room for a cheaper rate because I made the reservation weeks before they sold out. If I couldn't pay right then without authorization of charge by me to my card they would've canceled my room. I received an email that my card didn't go through so I called and was told this by Russell. Anyways I already paid $265 and when we arrived my total charge with incidental deposit was $755 extra. I never agreed upon any of these payment terms that were changed by the hotel the day before our arrival. I usually put a deposit down for hotel rooms and pay either cash or with the card on file when we depart the hotel during check out. I even tried to pay cash for the total amount and the staff said no they don't take cash which surprised me. Anyways I left to go to the ATM to add the money and once we arrived back to the hotel around 2am the young lady called security which was at the counter when we returned. I paid what we owed on the card but tnot sure why security was called. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had especially with the lack of communication and the unauthorized charging the hotel does unexpectedly. The front desk staff was very rude and need proper training on how to deal with customers. This is the reason I always do AirBnB's to avoid hotel employees attitudes and power trips. I will never stay at Hotel Angeleno again nor will I ever recommend it to anyone. Thank God For AirBnB's!!!!!!

This hotel is a fantastic choice, offering great value compared to others farther from the city. The 30th-floor restaurant boasts an impressive view of southwest Los Angeles and features a happy hour from 5:05 to 7 PM. While the rooms are not large, they are thoughtfully designed. The free wine happy hour is a delightful way to start the evening on a high note. Its location, just five minutes from Beverly Hills and West Hollywood, is unbeatable. We’ll definitely be back!

The hotel itself is very nice, the rooms are a decent size, although they only gave us 2 towels for 3 people and although they brought more when we requested them they took them away when they cleaned the room the next day.
The pool is small but nice and the gym only has a few pieces of equipment but good enough for a quick workout.
The real reason this place only gets 3 stars is the location. It is too far away from anywhere to walk and the complimentary shuttle service is only offered between 8 and 2 and will only take you 3 miles which doesn’t get you anywhere useful.
Get a shuttle to “pep boys” on sepulveda boulevard and walk 0.5miles to the metro.
I would definitely recommend Mannys pizzeria which is just round the corner, great food at a decent price

We stayed here after a visit to the Getty Center, having chosen it for its location just a mile away. The location made it very convenient but meant that the views were all of traffic on the 405. The room was large; bath and bedroom linens were high quality. The happy-hour bar good was very good. The only th(no we didn’t appreciate was the $40 charge for valet parking, when it would have been easy to self-park in the large parking lot. That made the advertised room charge less than accurate.

The front desk staff were rude. Water was out for 12+ hours and hot water for 14 yet when we asked for a late checkout they said it would cost 50 usd for anything beyond 3p minutes. I find it interesting that they expect. Guests to be beyond accommodating for not being able to shower or use water yet they can't exhibit any grace on their side. When I asked the front desk about this, the staff had a very very negative attitude. Sad if hotel angeleno wpuld like to be taken seriously for its hoapitality. Beyond that, the rooms are quite small and oddly appointed. However the restaurant staff were very kind and the views beautiful.

Ill be honest with you. We travel often and use Uber or Lyft everywhere. I'm sure you will have already spent alot of money to get there so using these ride shares is much safer and easier in the long run. You might want to stay on the Hollywood side where more attractions are located.

I would have to say not really. It's a short pool - there as a convenience. If you're trying to swim distance, there's a YMCA with a great pool about 10 minutes or less in a car.

Answer from Marion G
Uber would probably be your most cost effective means of transportation. Depending on traffic, it would be between $30-$40.
