The Los Angeles Airport Marriott garners appreciation for its array of amenities, with the pool and gym standing out, though some guests feel certain services like cabana rentals could be enhanced. While the staff receives commendation for professionalism, there are occasional mentions of slow check-ins. Opinions on the rooms are mixed; some find them modern and spotless, whereas others describe them as dated or noisy.
The hotel's atmosphere is praised for its fresh and updated vibe. Cleanliness is consistently acknowledged, but many guests consider the hotel's prices steep, particularly criticizing the cost of parking and WiFi.

Detailed Reviews
Pleasantly surprised at this “airport” hotel w/24 hour shuttle. Rooms are spacious, modern and well maintained. Staff was courteous, professional and accommodating. Lobby is huge with a sports bar, restaurant and Starbucks and all are always lively. M-Club Lounge is a great bonus with free buffet breakfast, snacks, beverages and evening hors d'oeuvres with the bar selling “adult” beverages. M-Club is private and exclusive access only. It is complimentary based on your Marriott status or you can pay the upgraded room rate. Great top floor view of LAX runways so we spent a lot of time relaxing at the lounge. It was too cold outside to enjoy the heated pool and laundry room was convenient so I washed our clothing. Daily parking fees are very expensive so plan accordingly. Many restaurants in the surrounding area. Overall, LAX Marriott was a very pleasant stay and experience that we recommend to others.

We’ve stayed here several times over the years, most recently as a night’s stopover to & from Hawaii. Location is great for the airport; extremely close but not too much airport noise. The hotel is aging but comfy and has a large concierge lounge.
There seems to be a wide range of room quality, though. We got a cheaper rate coming back and got a far inferior, small room with only one bedside table and towels that left a linty residue when drying off after a shower.

We had an excellent stay here. The “M” Lounge was over the top as far as variety and quality of food and drinks. The rooms are completely remodeled with large bathrooms, updated furnishings and beds that are as soft as clouds. We intend on staying here the next time we are in town.

Perfect.
I attended a large conference here recently and thought the LAX Marriott rose to the occasion nicely. Our room was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The beds and bedding are amazing and the view of the pool and palm trees from our room was attractive and fun. The elevators accommodated our high traffic times (a very large conference) and all the public areas were kept clean and neat despite the high traffic. I am really pleased and impressed by how well the hotel handled the logistics of hosting such a large group.
And they never lost their cool. The front desk folks were excellent. I required a room change and they did not bat an eye. They professionally handled my problem and were friendly and made me feel like a respected guest. I appreciate that.
The only comment otherwise was the catered meals weren't amazing which may have been more a factor of the ability of the conference to pay more for better food. They were understaffed for the catered meals. And the ceilings in the "ballrooms" need acoustic tile - the acoustics were pretty bad.
Overall, this is a beautiful hotel and I will definitely be back if I have long layovers at LAX. Highly recommend.

We stayed at Los Angeles Marriott Airport for just 1 night as we just wanted to stay near the airport for a flight the next day and Los Angeles Marriott Airport served this purpose.
We arrived in LAX quite late at night but managed to find the hotel shuttle bus stop. The nearest hotel shuttle stop (with a red circular sign) is not directly at Terminal B but at Terminal 3 (out from Terminal B and turn right). I messaged Los Angeles Marriott Airport via the Facebook messenger to ask about the details of the hotel shuttle bus and also the location of where to wait. They promptly replied my query which I feel quite satisfied about.
We were lucky that we managed to catch a hotel shuttle bus immediately once we reached the waiting area. The bus driver will ask you for your location and he/she will help you to carry your luggage up and down from the storage area on the bus so please remember to get ready your tip (if you wish to do so).
We arrived in the hotel lobby within 10 to 15 minutes from LAX and the lobby looked generally very simple. The check in process was quick and we were assigned to a room on the floor same as the lobby. This will not be my preferred choice but since we are only there for a night, we did not mind.
Overall, the room was clean and wide. It has all the amenities I believe we need such as a mini fridge, a coffee machine and bathing amenities. The big was wide and long but the pillows were slightly on the softer side.
One thing is that the coffee machine is kinda inside the toilet as it is directly opposite the sink in the toilet which is something different/unexpected to me. But this was not an issue to us since we were only there for one night.
The shower area might also be slightly dark as the lightbulb is outside the shower area (directly above the toilet bowl) and there is no lightbulb within the shower area. This is not a huge concern but something I noticed.
We also went to take a look at the pool and gym area. The pool area was very pretty but too bad it was winter and we definitely did not want to take a swim but its environment is nice.
Overall, it was a great stay and really close to the airport which is great for a short stay.

This was the best hotel stay in my entire life. There was probably an element of luck as well but sometimes everything goes well. The only regret I have is not having arrived at LAX earlier.
The Shuttle : At LAX 12 minute wait. Great. Leaving the hotel 1/2 a second. Outstanding.
Checkin : a reasonable 15 minute wait as it was crowded. (Elite members get checked in sooner ). Water in the lobby.
Room : The room was great. Very Clean all around. Turned on the tv to watch the NHL playoffs. The bed was wonderful some kind of memory foam smart mattress or something. Behave people LOL. A sweeping view of the pool area. No airplane noise. In room coffee and tea was great.
Service recovery : minor issue but the vending machine on my floor and the one below wouldn’t work be it cash only or what not. I went down to the lobby and the front desk agent gave me small two bottles of water without hesitation. I would’ve purchased a bottle but still a 5 star stay.
Anyways I had an outstanding stay even as a non Marriott member . I booked through American Airlines hotels and would like to stay again in the future.
What an excellent Marriott property ; I hope Marriott CEO Anthony Capuano reads this.

Los Angeles Airport Marriott is very convenient due to its location just a few miles away from the airport and car rental return, meaning no rush in the way back home. It is a standard Marriott property with three choices of inside restaurants/bars, gym, a Starbucks and a good convenience store. Rooms are quiet despite facing the airport runaway, and cleaning is very efficient. Staff is friendly and checkin/checkout are very fast. The only minus is the self parking fee (around USD60 every 10 hours parking). To get free internet access patrons should be a Bonvoy member.

Despite being close to the airport, this hotel is lacking. Customer service is non-existent, the hotel safe didn’t work and they wouldn’t replace it during our stay. We requested and then had to re-request basic items (eg towels, pillows, bed covers). The pull out sofa mattress was filthy and the springs were noisy and coming through the fabric. The hotel room looked very worn — scrapes on the wallpaper and furniture, carpets are dirty, the air conditioner was covered in dust. The pool wasn’t clean — clumps of hair in the water. To top it off there was screaming and a protest (?) outside the room’s window at 6:30am. We were in a corner room on the second floor. Woke us all up — the kids were scared. Not a comfortable stay and would not recommend.

Dear AlanaKGodin, Thank you for being our guest. We sincerely apologize for the issues you experienced with your room and for our team not being as helpful as they should have been in resolving them. Our goal is to provide fresh and relaxing accommodations for every guest; therefore, we have shared these concerns with the appropriate individuals to take corrective actions. We are also sorry for the inconvenience caused to you due to the noise issues from outside. We empathize with the unfortunate circumstances and are taking all measures we can to ensure our guests are as comfortable as possible. I stayed in room 1218 for one night. The room is for those with disabilities. Had an ok view. The bed was comfy. There is a mini fridge. The room says it has an in-room safe but I looked all over for it and could not find it. When I checked in the front desk did not tell me anything about the breakfast or where it's located at. So when it came to breakfast time I had to go back down to the front desk to find out when and where breakfast is and found out it was on the 18th floor. As someone who has a minor disability and a Platinum Elite member having to walk all over the place to find breakfast should not happen. Also, when I checked in the front desk told me that my key card would get my car out of the underground parking. Well that was not the case, so I had to back up and find a parking spot in order to walk back up to the front lobby desk. That's unacceptable especially with someone who has a minor disability. Also, a guest should not have to deal with valet when all the guest wants to do is bring their car close to the main entrance in order to load their luggage in and then check out. Valet told me I had to give them my car key or I could park in the self-parking where I would have to pay for parking and I would have to haul my 2 heavy bags clear across a parking lot. I think there should be a spot for guests who are checking out to at least be able to park their car for less than 10 minutes in order to put their luggage in their car. Also, when I asked the concierge for a cart for my two pieces of heavy luggage they said they did not have any. When I checked in I noticed 2 carts but when I asked for a cart I was told they had none. For a hotel this large there should be at least 4 or 5 luggage carts readily available. so I had to haul heavy luggage down to my car and having a minor disability is not easy so unacceptable. Also, in the underground parking, there were huge puddles of water that should be looked at and taken care of. People do not want to park in puddles of water or have to walk clear across in order to avoid the water. Not happy with my stay.

Check in was a bit slow but when we made it to the desk the staff were friendly, attentive and competent. It was a busy travel week but only one desk was open. The other check in staff were attending to all the airline staff that were checking in. And they seemed to have priority. I would have liked to use my Bonvoy account but that app is $&@&! useless although it did work for free wifi. Otherwise you are paying for wifi. The restaurant and bar are very good. The restaurant was expensive but the food was exceptional. The room was clean and fairly large and the bed was comfortable. The A/C in the room was extremely loud which was a bit annoying. All in all I would still recommend this hotel especially if you are in transit,

I think they'll take any VISA card. I have used my debit card to check in ay many hotels.
Does the shuttle operate between the hotel and the port at San Pedro to pick up a cruise?
Any thanks
The Marriott LAX 'airport shuttle' is just that - continuously looping the LAX airport terminals and the Marriott LAX hotel.
It's about 20 miles one-way from Marriott LAX to the San Pedro cruise terminal, and would take Uber/Lyft about 45 minutes one-way (depending on traffic).
Most hotels do but call to be sure. If they don’t; download an app called “Luggage Hero” and you can drop off your luggage to local LA locations (they are bonded) and for a small fee they hold your bags. I did it in NYC once because I had 6 hrs to kill before a flight - cost me about $12. Definitely worth it. I didn’t have to walk around Manhattan with a suitcase.
