This place sets new standards for how poorly run a hotel can be and how rude staff can be. We booked for an overnight stay before taking the train to Arizona. The location appealed to us because it was close to Union Station. I would never make this kind of choice again. We were booked in by an older man...

I chose Metro Plaza because 1: I'm a Spanish Teacher and wanted to visit Olvera Street, and 2: I wanted easy access to public transportation. It was perfect for me. Olvera Street is right across the street and Union Station is two blocks away (a 5-10 minute walk, and the bus plaza is in back of Union Station so that...

We were to be in LA for two days before taking a flight back home on 17 Jul12 . Our intention was to be close to the Union Station where our Bus from San Jose was to drop us. So we chose the nearest Hotel ie Metro Plaza. A very basic , two star Hotel with reasonable tariff, beside having...

My family and I came in on a late train and were staying only one night in LA. We chose this hotel due to the location to Union Station. Very convenient. I cannot say this hotel is horrible, but I do not think I would stay here again. The checkin process was hectic. The manager was dealing with someone else...

We chose the Metro Plaza for its proximity to Los Angeles Union Station which is a short walk with rolling luggage in tow. The hotel staff are nice and freindly. the rooms are small and layed out in a funny way. I have no qualms about this hotel other than the television in the room. In this day of cable...

This was the best service, best location, best free continental breakfast, omg ever! You are centrally located between Hollywood and Downtown and right next to bus, train and rail. We did 29 states and never got it this good. NEVER saw a bug. NEVER had a problem. Great service all around and we're going back to LA from Honolulu again.

The real value of this place is in its location. Smack between chinatown and el puablo, and one block from Union Station connecting to Hollywood, Santa Monica and more. Nearby eateries that I recommend are the el Puablo taco place from 1932, Phillip's and the chineese ABC place. Breakfast is included, but it is not much.

Stayed here for 4 nights. So convenient for getting around LA using the Metro system. Used a 4 day pass which cost $5 per day and we went everywhere. Also used the Dodger Express to get to the game and the LAX flyaway bus. The hotel is clean and the rooms large. Yes the soap is marginal but its such...

I stayed here for 2 nights in June on a business trip with two other people. I often come to LA for work and on this occasion the hotel we usually stay at was unavailable, so we were referred to Metro Plaza. I read some of the reviews on tripadvisor before we left, and it didn't sound like it was...
