We live in Los Feliz, a stone's throw from the Sanborn Guest House. Our house was being tented for termites and we wanted to stay close to home. Gary was a very accommodating host, and our room was just what we needed for two nights. We stayed in the Sanborn Guest Room. If you want a little more space, choose...

I'm sorry to hear about the termite situation, Rick! Hopefully they haven't decided to shack up with you again since your review. In any case, I'm glad we could provide you with a homelike respite from the 'mites while your house was tented. Even positive reviews help us get better for our customers, so we're thrilled to see that you...

Third, or fourth, stay at this lovely little guest house in Silver Lake. I am almost reticent to leave a glowing review as I want the room to be available when I return to East Los Angeles. I love the Silver Lake/Echo Park area.....so many cool restaurants and good coffee shops. Good take-out. Laid-back vibe....nice people. For me, the room...

We liked the Sanborn Guest House a lot. Gary was very friendly and the room was spacious and nicely decorated. The shower & bathroom was clean and towels were provided and we had access to a shared kitchen where there’s filter coffee, a big fridge and a proper cooker. It’s like staying in a holiday chalet rather than a B&B...

We had no idea what to expect never having stayed in LA, were we in the right area, would we be safe? We didn't want to be in a hotel and wanted to be a part of a community where their were interesting shops and restaurants within walking distance. SANBORN HOUSE was the perfect choice! Being built in 1921 the...

I stayed at Tyler's Place accomodation for four nights in July 2012 and I absolutely could not fault it. As a solo female traveller being in the States for the first time, I was apprehensive about staying in such a big city all on my own, but I have to say, everything about this accommodation put my mind at ease....

I stayed at Tyler's Place at Sanborn Guest House for 2 nights in May. Douglas (the proprietor/manager) was super helpful and friendly, especially as I had slightly messed up my dates and times. It was a very convenient location, LA is hard without a car but there were a ton of great places to eat, have coffee, catch up with...

We stayed in the guest suite for 3 nights in April 2012. During our stay we relied entirely on public transport. I can't fault anything about the accommodation. The location was excellent with buses and light rail providing easy access to down town, Hollywood and even Santa Monica. There were some wonderful eateries in the vicinity and the local area...

I stayed 4 nights and highly recommend this guesthouse in Silver Lake. Spacious and comfortable room, quiet, safe (single female), own entrance, well equipped kitchen shared with other suite, secure off-street parking. Hosts very helpful on arrival, though did not see them again during my stay. Woould definitely return!

Sanborn Guest House is conveniently located in the Silver Lake district of Los Angeles, near to restaurants and shops. It is clean and cozy, and lovingly cared for by its owners, Gary and Jaime. The price is very reasonable and worth every penny. A special bonus is off street parking (a valuable commodity in this area!). There is a tranquil...

This B & K (bed and kitchen) has so many good things going for it, I don't know where to start. First off, Gary and Jaime are friendly and obliging hosts. Their Sanborn Guest House is in the Silver Lake area of LA (that's east of Hollywood) and it's well situated for easy access to downtown, Griffith Park, Hollywood, etc.,...
