We were in town for a show at the Staples Center and wanted something nice and close by. O Hotel totally fit our needs. The location is excellent, not more than 7 minutes walk or so to LA Live, the Grammy Museum and Staples Center itself, with all the restaurants so nearby those. It was perfect for us. The room... We arrived at midnight local time and the young man on the night desk was pleasant, gave us our room key and off we went. Except that the room key didn't work. This happened 3 times during our 3 night visit. The room seemed clean enough, the linens were fresh and for a decades old building it had been nicely... More

Just returned from a quick Mother/Daughter weekend in LA. We booked the O Hotel because of the location in downtown LA. The room was very small but nicely decorated and clean. There is no view as the hotel is sandwiched between other buildings so the room was somewhat dark. However we did not go to LA to spend time in... More

The O Hotel is conveniently located in downtown LA for those who are looking for a short stay. It is fine for the traveler who will be concentrating on an event downtown. We were there for the Pink concert at the Staples Center and the hotel is a very short walk to the Staples Center. Things I liked about this... More

I heard some good things about the O, but it didn't really live up to my expectations of this "really cool boutique hotel". It was average and overpriced. I did like the dim lighting throughout and the staff was very friendly. We only had a standard room and with tax and the ever-present and annoying resort fee it was $300... More

The O is a good option, however standard rooms are quite small, bathrooms minuscule, and there are some details that revail a bit of need for maintenance. The restaurant, however, is really cool, amd the bar has a great atmosphere and even better cocktails.

My partner and i stayed here in December and this is by far the best value for hotel in downtown LA. The last time we stayed at the Sheraton downtown, room were crap and service was bad. The staff was great! Everyone was kind and helpful. The room was a bit pricey, but it was New Year's eve. ONE COMPLAINT: the shower head/nozzle is not easy to use and extremely difficult to maneuver! Otherwise, we had a great stay and would return.

For a hotel on a main street the rooms are quiet. Both my friend and I were allocated rooms which looked out to a brick wall which was depressing however better this than a noisy front room I guess. Decent selection of pastries and even fresh fruit (!!!) at breakfast. Reception staff are great, couldn't be more helpful. Great location... More

Hello, I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts in regards to your stay with us. Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
