Polite and helpful front desk staff, but you had to take your own bags to your room. This would be fine, except for the fact that the room cost $200/night. The room was clean, but extremely small. One of the smallest hotel rooms I have seen. The restaurant, bar and lounge were great! Also, the location to downtown events was...

I stayed at O Hotel for 5 nights while I was working in LA.   I was concerned after reading that some rooms faced onto a brick wall (which would be pretty depressing over 5 nights!) - but when I checked in and the guy realised I was staying for a while he put me in a room which looked over...

Finally the perfect spot for business mens in downtown los angeles. rooms are clean and spacious, workstation with wifi included as well as safe and hairdyer. location is convenient and they serve a special breakfast in a relaxed area. During the night it can be a bit noisy especially the room on the rear but overall it is a very...

Hotel was nice, although room was really small....might be ok for 1 person, but being 2 I would have preferred more space. The best thing about the hotel is the staff, extremely helpful at all times. Location was good, but only if you have to stay in downtown LA.

We were in town for a show at the Staples Center and wanted something nice and close by. O Hotel totally fit our needs. The location is excellent, not more than 7 minutes walk or so to LA Live, the Grammy Museum and Staples Center itself, with all the restaurants so nearby those. It was perfect for us. The room...

We arrived at midnight local time and the young man on the night desk was pleasant, gave us our room key and off we went. Except that the room key didn't work. This happened 3 times during our 3 night visit. The room seemed clean enough, the linens were fresh and for a decades old building it had been nicely...

Just returned from a quick Mother/Daughter weekend in LA. We booked the O Hotel because of the location in downtown LA. The room was very small but nicely decorated and clean. There is no view as the hotel is sandwiched between other buildings so the room was somewhat dark. However we did not go to LA to spend time in...

The O Hotel is conveniently located in downtown LA for those who are looking for a short stay. It is fine for the traveler who will be concentrating on an event downtown. We were there for the Pink concert at the Staples Center and the hotel is a very short walk to the Staples Center. Things I liked about this...

I heard some good things about the O, but it didn't really live up to my expectations of this "really cool boutique hotel". It was average and overpriced. I did like the dim lighting throughout and the staff was very friendly. We only had a standard room and with tax and the ever-present and annoying resort fee it was $300...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
