Hotel is close to Convention Center. Rooms are very small, dark and dated. Bathroom has a glass sliding door that gives no privacy at all! Staff is OK. Breakfast is good. Downtown LA is not nice at all but there are some dinning options nearby .

I would avoid this Hotel. To be honest, this hotel hit a pet peev of mine. They charge a daily $14 resort fee. This is anything but a resort. The breakfast was terrible and the view from the room was looking at another window 10 feet away.

We stayed there so we could attend some sports at Staples Centre and the location was perfect. The room was tidy, bottled water in the fridge and more available at reception which was really nice. There was also a simple breakfast included. Staff were helpful with directions for public transport. We didn't eat in the restaurant but it had a...

We stayed here in April to catch a Lakers game and you absolutely cannot beat the location to the Staples Center/L.A. Live, a short walk of less than 10 min. The parking is great too as there is a multi-level parkade right beside the hotel ($18/24 hours) and the parking rate is awesome for the downtown location. The management made...

I have been at the O Hotel for 3 night last February Good stay even if a bit expensive. The average prices are far too expensive for the kind of hotel and services given. I spent 880 USD for 3 nights!!!!! Anyway I must precise that ALL HOTELS IN DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES ARE TOO EXPENSIVE, but I would expect a...

I'm still not sure how I felt about this hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and the room was nicely appointed and clean. However, the room with two twin beds is not large enough for two people. There is very, very little space and I, someone who travels lightly, quickly filled the room with my things. Also, the hallways were...

It's clean, tidy & a safe place to stay, front desk staff are friendly but that's about where it stops. It's a bit pricey for what you get as the room & bathroom are tiny! It is so noisy, but I've come to realise that American hotels have no idea what sound insulation is! The air in did not work...

Location was super within 2 blocks of 7th street metr, staple centre and numerous very good restaurants. The bar d,vine was located in basement and had happy hours each evening the upstairs bar also offered a happy hour with reasonably priced bar snacks. As a wheelchair user the room allocated was was good in the main bedroom. Unfortunately the bathroom...

This is a mid-range hotel. Staff was very friendly. The room was small, and view was of an alley. Room was nicely decorated and clean. Not a room to hang out in, but that was not our goal. Room was quiet from the rest of the hotel, Except at 5 am trash truck came through the alley. Then again at...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
