Avoid hotel and avoid neighborhood! Dirty room. Shabby. Strange people on the street in the neighborhood. Didn't feel safe, and we are experienced and have traveled a lot all over the world. We checked out and chose another hotel close to LAX instead.

There was hair in our towels and on the floor in the bathroom. The bed was clean and the room was a decent size. Great downtown location. The pool was very small and I would not like to swim in it. All rooms were full and there was just enough off street parking for everyone.

Room was nice and clean. Staff was friendly and always helpful, had a very nice stay at this hotel. Breakfast was small and not really our taste but coffee was nice and so was the juice. Was easy to get to Universal Studios with the subway.

We chose this hotel because last year we stayed at the one downtown , which was really good, but we wanted to be closer to the hollywood blv area. The room was a little small compared to other hotels we have stayed in but it was clean and quiet enough for a good rest. Bed was confortable. There was a...

After having a pretty good experience staying at this motel a few months ago with some friends, I booked it for another weekend in LA because it had one thing that I wanted - a big bathtub in the room, because I love taking hot baths while I watch tv - but wasn't super sketchy. Apparently only really cheesy, gross,...

The hotel is located along sunset boulevard and opposite to a convenient grocery store. This makes the place very noisy at night with sirens and loud bangs from the Main Street. It's very clean with ample parking and wifi but that is all there is. The breakfast is a disappointment, some cookies and diluted juice. We skipped it for the...

When we did the reservation online it was completely different for what we get arriving in the "hotel"(should be called MOTEL)NO PARKING at all, they said they will accommodate our cars somewhere to not worried, we try canceling but they were really rude when we ask about policy of cancellation they will charged us either way. so we have to...

I needed to go to a doctors appointment at Kaiser early in the morning, so we needed to spend the night before in the Hollywood area near Kaiser. My friend and I went to Tripadvisor to see what the reviews were in this area for motels. Americas Best Value Inn had the best reviews; however we were not sure we...

Arrived in the LA area and took a Lyft to the hotel room. From the airport to the hotel was about a 35$ ride, so keep that in mind. The hotel's got a standard *motel* vibe, so no inside, just rooms off from the main parking lot and a nice little pool is there as well, found no real sound...

Nice location and clean room but that is it. The hotel is a normal LA hotel. What is good: place to park the car (be early there to guarantee your place, they don't have space to all rooms) area with a lot of restaurant (most asian food) Laundry and market near. What can improve: Service (employers do their job, but...

Staying in Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
