We decided to stay at this hotel for its Location and price, perfect place for the metro, restaurants and night life. The Central location was great as well for getting around LA with a self park car park a couple of doors down. The room was clean but the overall hotel is in need to updating and repairs generally. The...

Now before I start my review, I must say that I was reading the trip advisor guest comments from the hotel before I booked the room at the Milner. Most comments where correct about the place. The hotel is old and dated in short run down. It needs to be updated urgently. Our room was clean and the room attendant...

The staff here are phenomenal in pleasant service and assistance (in particular the night desk staff named Jose) however the room was disappointing, the photos shown did not match up at all and the size of the room for the prize left a lot to be desired.

The staff is super nice and friendly and let us check in early! We only picked this hotel because of how close it was to the staples center. The bathroom was so small you could barely stand in it and you might as well forget about the shower. The tube tv barely works. The bed was brutally uncomfortable. The curtains...

I was completely taken off guard when I showed up to check in. Online photos of actuality is completely different. The check in and lobby is a 3.5..The staff was 5 star. Every front desk employee I can across was very helpful , accommodating and nice. But the rooms were very outdated, there was hair on bathroom wall. Major dust...

Run down and terrible rooms. A place where you do not want to take off your clothes or shoes. Not just disappointing, truly awful. You will not be pleasantly surprised, it doesn't matter that you will spend all day out and only sleep here. You will kick yourself later if you book here.

Clean, but old and run down. In a good location, and affordable, staff was friendly as well. I have a room, more like a closet with a bed in the back corner. For back in the day, I'm sure it was nice, but it needs major repair to be a 3 star.

The room was pretty bare but our king sized bed was very comfortable and the view from our window was an exciting view of the city. We were in town for a Lakers game and we walked to and from the hotel to the Staple Center with ease. We were at first afraid to walk back in the dark but...

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
