great location! stayed here for 4 nights while we did all the tourist spots in LA, it's especially close to the walk of fame. the only downsides are how close you are to the main road, it's very noisy. also, if you're on the bottom floor you can hear everything above, air conditioning is very noisy too.

Comfortable place, clean, and good public transportation. Staffs at the hotel were nice and helpful. Also a good wifi service. However, at night maybe dangerous because the hotel has no fences and anyone can come inside the hotel area.

The hotel overall is okay, the rooms are clean but other then that the location around the hotel is not good. it's somewhat close to the walk of fame and other attractions but there's a bunch of weird people around the hotel and it does not feel safe at all. there is no free breakfast & sleeping in the rooms...

We stayed three nights at the Dixie Hollywood Hotel! Everything went well, clean rooms, nice staff. Walked to Griffith observatory, and to Hollywood blvd to see the Stars and loved our location! Lots of great places to eat pretty close by. Loved the palm trees, but was too chilly for the pool!

Pros: Good choice for budget hotel. The room is new and clean. Great location near Hollywood walk of fame / Thai town Cons: The bathroom towels were old and had greyish color. The a/c was noisy and loud.

This place was fine. The rooms were quite old but it was clean and the beds were comfortable. It was a bit of a way from the main part of Hollywood boulevard - although if you were young fit and healthy it probably was within walking distance. The room was a bit noisy as we were close to the main...

This place clearly polarizes opinion, but for what it's worth, I recommend it highly. It's not bang in the middle of Hollywood, but Hollywood and Western Metro is literally 20 seconds away from the hotel and that is just one stop away from Hollywood & Vine which is basically the center of Hollywood. The Metro takes you all over LA...

Nice value for money, considering it is a 5 minute drive away from the Walk of Fame. I would definitely consider getting back there if I gonto Los Angeles again. It has a nice restaurant next door, which I would also recommend. Like Dixie, it's not a 5-star hotel, but it's not expensive

Nice themed rooms, great cleaning staff, nice pool, restaurants nearby, near Hollywood strip, near Thai town. Great family place and respite for families touring and visiting attractions in LA/Hollywood areas

Staying in Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
