Room was very comfortable, beds excellent, bathroom was a good size. Tea and coffee making in room plus a fridge. Staff were very helpful. Japanese restaurant in hotel and also a small cafe for a simple breakfast and snacks. Desk where tours can be arranged. We were exceptionally happy with our stay.

I had a lovely time, interesting location Little TOKOYO near by and very friendly staff. Would recommend to stay a few nights to see the local night, life. Laundry was a blessing to have. Great café to have that coffee or snack. Room was well appointed, comfortable bed. Breakfast was buffet and was quite variable both Japanese and American. Good...

Hotel is in the centre of Little Tokyo lots of good Japanese restaurants nearby, easy walking distance to train and bus transport. Several museums very close. Quite a bit of street noise in our room but room was clean and basic hotel Standard.

I was in DTLA for a seminar around the corner from this hotel. The hotel was very nice and the beds were super comfortable. The drinks in the bar are super expensive, but I think you'll find that in any nice hotel in a big city. However, the bartender stopped in the middle of making our drinks so that he...

I'm sorry but where do those 5 star reviews are coming from??? SERIOUSLY - who paid these people to write reviews??? This hotels is BELOW AVERAGE: 1. Rooms - Outdated. 2. Breakfast - I'd rather starve, hot dishes - cold, weird and not fresh. 3. Coffee Shop - not good, trust me. 4. Lobby - Is fine. 5. Staff -...

I decided to attend a conference and missed the deadline for the official hotels. I searched Trip Advisor for downtown hotels and found the Miyako. It is located in little Tokyo and convenient to downtown. I had the basic room, which was a bit dated, but clean. I would agree with other reviewers that the bathroom was dark. The AC...

We stayed for one night and were fortunate that we could open the window to cool the room. The lighting was inadequate. The tub needed work. Restaurant breakfast buffet had very limited offerings of Japanese and America fare. Neither was very good. Great staff but just no way they could make up for the deficiencies.

The room was decent size and clean but the bathroom needed brighter lights and some updating. Overall the hotel itself was decent and the staff friendly. The neighborhood is very convenient and has many restaurants within waking distance.

I enjoyed my stay at the Miyako, with its close proximity to restaurants, shopping, and the LA Convention Center! My room was very comfortable. I had plenty of space to work, complimentary slippers, and a nice warm shower! If you are attending events at LACC, LA LIVE, or you just want to be centrally located in a safe, clean, part...

Rooms size were small but treat it like a premium Japanese hotel. Room clean and tidy, you may also use the microwave and kettle i guess? advise by housekeeping. Just call the front desk! There are a lot of parkings around the hotel. Be mindful when you are driving minivan. There's only 1 parking that actually fit the height limitation....

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
