Very comfy bed, good size room, hotel staff are very friendly and helpful (especially for an Aussie that couldn't figure out the shower...) good location with little Tokyo shopping laneway a minutes walk away.

To start, let me tell you that parking was pretty affordable for LA. The hotel itself was very clean and right in the center of little Tokyo. If you take Lyft, you can catch a 5 min ride to downtown LA and check out that side of town. That being said, there was a strong scent of oil coming from...

Stayed here for 4 nights. Rooms are basic but fine. Location is ok, but not much within comfortable walking distance. The bathroom is small, the shower head is about 5 feet high. The "fancy" toilet seat didn't work - not a big deal, but the toilet kept backing up, more of an issue. Biggest problem I had was that the...

This hotel is frequently used by contiki and top deck. The location isn't fantastic but if you like Chinese food your in luck as it's smack bang in the middle of China town. I stayed at this hotel the night before I joined a top deck tour. Honestly it wasn't fantastic. Its clean and comfortable yes. But the area scared...

The Miyako Inn is only one block from the Little Tokyo metro stop and in the heart of Little Tokyo. I had of course come to visit this neighborhood and have eaten here before, but it's a much better experience to stay overnight rather than drive 30-60 minutes (depending on traffic) to get home. To top off the treat of...

Wanted to stay in LA Live area but because of the NHL all-stars weekend the hotels were either booked or pricey. Was nervous about staying in a non-chain hotel but due to great reviews and a great room rate, we bit the bullet. Wow! The lobby was beautiful, valet was kind, bell hop happy to hold our luggage since we...

Staying here was amazing was sharing with my friend and this made the accom cheaper even though we still go a big bed to ourselves. The room size was larger than your average hotel room which was great. Located in little Tokyo but surrounded by a lot of other eateries and close to downtown. Can't say much for public transport...

We found the room to be clean, beds very comfortable and the staff helpful. I would not hesitate to stay here, again! The quiet nature of a room in downtown LA was a great, and welcome, surprise! The location was central and neighborhood had many options for dining.

Stayed 3 nights in Little Tokyo, very close to downtown. Larger than average sized room that was much cleaner than average, with a tub. Very quiet as we had a room that did not face 1st st. Notices claimed hallway work on floors 8-11. Good comfortable beds that had some early wear of the pillow tops. Very convenient location. Valet...

We stayed here for 3 nights. We got into LA early in the morning so we decided that we would book the room the night before so that we could have a sleep after our 14hour flight. Initially there was some confusion as we were told we couldn’t check in yet, but once they realised we had a booking from...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
