I had an incredible time at the Godfrey Hotel! Everything about it was wonderful - warm and caring staff, great food, beautiful and clean rooms. This would be the first hotel I would recommend anyone to stay at in LA; you will be thrilled with your experience. Make sure to check out their amazing rooftop too - it is jaw-dropping!!
f you are looking for a place to stay in one of the hearts of LA, this is definitely the place. It is south of the famous Sunset Boulevard and very close to The Grove, The Hollywood Bowl, and The Hollywood Walk of Fame. *The room: -Very boutique feel with Old Hollywood but modern decor -Toiletries smelled amazing -Rain shower was super wonderful -Had a super cozy King size bed * I|O Rooftop -PCH drink was like a mojito and very refreshing -Nice place to hang out, watch the sunset, and enjoy the pool -Would make for a great event space *ALK (After Last Knife) Restaurant -If you are looking for fine dining, this is the place. -The Fried Miatake was incredible -Arctic Char was flaky and very presentable -Snow Crab and Polenta was made perfectly Overall, will be back!
I live down the street from the Godfrey and wanted to check out the rooftop bar. Me and my friend arrived at the ballet and was greeted by Andrew who made us feel extremely welcomed! It was late when we arrived so Andrew ran to the front desk to check if the rooftop was still open. He was great! The whole hotel is lovely and the rooftop views are amazing.
Stayed at the Godfrey for 3 nights Nov 7-10, and it was the best experience! ALL of the vallet guys were amazing, talked to us, gave us suggestions. We didn’t catch the names, but one suggested Topanga for a really nice view! A couple of others suggested food places. Even the front desk staff, amazing! The bathroom design is really dope! The only thing we disliked was the room size, very small. But the location of the hotel is great! The hotel was the best staff!
Amazing experience, fun rooms that have everything you need but nothing you didn’t. Unusually great checkin process, helped us quickly and gave us some useful local tips. It’s a fun area but way better if you ask and they know! Rooftop drinks were really fun, you can see the Hollywood sign which is a great perk for us non locals. Also, get dinner downstairs if you come (or just in general) all the food was great but man, those carrots!! Who knew such a boring food could taste like that, simply amazing and would not have known if the waiter had not recommended them. The Cocktails from the roof to the lobby were superb, ideal location for a weekend away!
