The entrance was a bit confusing, because one side is for the residences, but when I finally found the right check in area, things went smooth. My suite was well appointed, room, with fresh flowers and had a lovely view of the downtown area. I...More
We were greeted with champagne which was a lovely touch. However, the overall experience at this location left us feeling a little disappointed. It's not as luxurious as other Ritz hotels have been. We always stay in club level rooms and love seeing the daily...More

We went to this hotel with high expectations doe to the brand and the prices.
The hotel was ok but seemed to lack a bit of character and charm. It was a little cold.
Restaurants were ok but not outstanding.

Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants
in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.

Not sure if there are cabana's. But, the Ritz is very well known for making your stay pleasant. Simply ask via email and they will likely provide cabanas for you and your guests. Also, know the hotel is on the bluff, so, instead of a poolside cabana, I highly recommend a bike ride or walk down on the beach. The hotel has bikes, is partners with the lovely Monarch golf course and maybe after some fun then renting an umbrella or cabana but make a request in advance of your arrival. Hope that helps... Enjoy .
