This place was a surprise. The only negative thing I have to say was that it's a little hard to find at night, especially if you are unfamiliar with the area, and be advised, it's valet parking only, and it's in the basement of the building. The room was nice and clean, affordable, and the way that the bottom floor... More

My daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights to attend an event at the Das Bunker club. The room was clean and modern with hardwood floors. The continental breakfast consisted of either muffins or donuts, and there was coffee, tea and iced water. The beds were super comfy too! 😀

The room and hotel is great. The place is very clean and the staff is friendly. The area that the hotel is in is not the best. If you are just looking for a room for a night or two this place is good, but if you're interested in a hotel with shopping or other activities this is not the... More

I needed a place to stay while spending the night in LA on a long travel itinerary. This hotel has a good rate, was close to downtown, and seemed like a good bet. It was. Check-in was very efficient (as was check out), the room was basic but nicely appointed and exceptionally clean, and there was a coffee maker. What... More

Big clean room, secure parking, and helpful staff. The only bad thing I could say, is there is a slight musky feel to the place. But the windows open and fresh air takes care of that. I would definitely stay here again if in the area. Big clean king size bed was very comfortable.

The hotel was clean, small and quiet with generous sized rooms. Located in a mixed residential/commercial neighbourhood but central if you want to access different parts of L.A. (outside of west hollywood). Staff were friendly and helpful. I loved how the windows opened for fresh air or I could control the air conditioning on really hot days. The hotel met... More

We have stayed here a few times and do like the rooms. The beds are comfortable and they have off street parking. However, it can get crowded in the underground parking and they charge now. It is in primarily in a residential area but is a quick walk to the commercial areas.

The area is nice, quiet and safe. There are a lot of restaurant with in walking distance. Our room was spacious and had big bathroom as well. The wifi connection was good. The only tiny hassle was that if you go out and come back after 21h you need to call them in order to open the entrance door for... More

I think expectations are everything. We wanted a simple hotel-- clean, good location, safe. We got that at the Shelter. Nothing fancy but overall quiet and clean. We got 2 joining rooms for my family of 5. We wanted to do the whole Korea town experience and everything is very close. Very pleased with our stay. We would definitely come... More

The room is rather spacious but had a musky smell; not too much of a problem though. Room is clean and with a king bed. All booking sites states free parking but not anymore. Hotel charges $10 per day. Parking garage gate closes 9pm every night so be prepared to call the reception to open the gate (roaming charges? Or... More
