The bedrooms were spacious and did allow for privacy, which was well appreciated. The communal areas were modern and well facilitated. The complementary breakfast was average; however, I didn't like the fact that you had to wash the dishes as I found others had not cleaned them properly. The location was about a 10 minute walk to the Chinese Theater...

Thank you for your feedback. It's pretty common for guests to do their own dishes in hostels, but we do go through after breakfast time and inspect the dishes and re-wash anything that is not up to standards. As with any large city, there are areas that may feel not as secure as someone's home town. Everyone, of course, as...

But if you are tall, I suggest you take the upper bunker beds so your head wont hit the upper bed. Breakfast was Excellent! Real Oranges! and assortment of fruit juices! Muffins and Assorted Toast cream cheese and jams somewhat like the hostels in Europe. Excellent idea to cook your own pancakes with chocolate bits, and bananas or raisins. You...

The staff is friendly and helpful. Nice with breakfast included. Pretty easy to get around with metro nearby and Uber/Lyft works with ease. Could've had better fans tho since it's hard to move around air. Otherwise I had a good stay.

Whilst marginally better than my stay at USA hostels in San Francisco, this LA hostel is well below average and I find the glowing reviews shocking. Having stayed at various hostels in capital cities all over Europe (at better prices than this) USA hostels does not even compare. I stayed in a private room with 'bathroom' which consisted of the...

The location was fantastic, just a 1 minute walk to the Walk of Fame. I didn't spend an enormous amount of time in the hostel but the time I was in it I was impressed by it's cleanliness and security. I didn't for a moment feel uncomfortable. If you are like me and want to stay right in Hollywood but...

Spent 5 nights at the USA Hostels this week. For the price you pay and the location you get it is great value for money. We stayed in a 8 bunk mixed dorm on the ground floor. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy and cleaned daily which was great. Our room faced the car park which sometimes had...

Good things - You get your own power socket at your bed, which is always good! The hostel is sufficiently clean and someone came in every day to clean the shower. The towels were clean and you could get a new one each day. The hostel provides a shuttle to Santa Monica beach. The bad - Breakfast is rubbish. Most...

The hostel did the job. Room were correct, cleanliness was ok, I appreciated to have my own light and plug to charge my devices. I took the free shuttle to go to Santa Monica it was really convenient but a shame that it doesn't do the round trip. I participated to the pub crawl which was limited to 2 pub...

Thank you for your stay and taking the time to leave us a review. Glad you liked the privacy panels that come with every dorm bed that includes a shelf, power outlet, USB charger, and reading light. Okay, let's start with all the positives, which there are a lot of them. First, booking and arrival went smoothly. Check in is easy and I got exactly what I expected. Two beds in a six female dorm room. Customer service was friendly and helpful. She suggested I move my car asap before getting ticketed. She had info on the...

The Hostel is well located and within walking distance to the Chinese Theater, Hollywood Bld & a short Metro ride Universal Studios stop. It also very close to a number of bars, restaurants and cafe's. One Cafe in particular called 'Waffles'. It is definitely worth a try for Breakfast

Staying in Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.

“I stayed there alone at 6 female dorm. All the bed was occupied. There was a construction at the hostel at the moment. So it was not that all the rooms are ready for customers. There was one private bathroom for those 6 female of the room and it was very clean though. I think being clean of the bathroom depends on the people of the room. The shower booth was remodeled and very modern. (Seems they just remodeled) It was felt really nice. The bathroom was very clean. Especially ”
