The design of the hotel gives guests a comfy, laid back and luxurious feeling in the lobby, courtyard restaurant and bar. Rooms and bathrooms are renovated with a modern style and were a very pleasant surprise. The rooms are laid out in bungalow style low rise buildings with charming walk ways. Front desk stand, restaurant, bar staff, valet in fact... More

I attended a birthday party for a cousin at the Hotel. The room was large and the lay out excellent. The buffet table was set up so that each guest has easy access to the food. The food and service was excellent, the décor beautiful.

My husband and I had our small wedding at the Hotel Bel Air in 2011. Last weekend we returned to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. Upon check-in they told us they put us in the same suite we stayed in on our wedding night (completely unexpected). We were then greeted with Sparkling Cider (I don't drink, which they kept a... My wife and I had not stayed in the Bel-Air since 2009, i.e. Pre the major refurbishment, so were a little nervous because we had originally rated it the best small hotel in the world. I am glad to say that we would still rate it the same. Rooms are still divine, service is charming, and the food is great.... More

I want this place to be a secret. I really do. Especially for locals that want a staycation. But,...I can't...this place is simply magic. It's in the heart of insanity, yet has total sanctity. It's peaceful, quite, calm, has great service, rooms, food and really feels 'away from LA'. Yes, it's expensive. It's probably worth it. Me and my wife... More

I was fortunate enough to have two weeks of business meetings based at the hotel Bel Air. My partner and I love being up a canyon where we can walk without traffic and enjoy the neighborhood. The rooms and grounds are very quiet and serene. The meandering paths and small courtyards and niches lend an air of privacy and quiet although may take some getting used to. We have been staying here since the early eighties and... More

This Hotel is wonderful for an urban hotel as it is surrounded by beautiful gardens.. most of the Villas or rooms have garden views.. even though it has been redesigned and was closed for several years to redo the hotel, it is not as special as I would have thought.. a bit disappointing in the design.

I returned to the Hotel Bel-Air recently. It's still lovely and well run. The things that struck us was the less than stellar breakfast and dinner in the bar.
