It's fun and simply special. Great staff, great fire pit, great location for wine tasting. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Head down to Bob's for breakfast. Really enjoy the stay

In the northern reaches of Santa Barbara Wine Country (Santa Ynez Valley,) Los Alamos is a one-horse town that hasn't yet been gentrified, like Los Olivos, Ballard and Santa Ynez. It is home to the best bakery in the U.S. -- perhaps the world -- Bob's Well Bread. (see my review.) Down the block is the Alamo Motel, a re-do...

Updated motel by the Shelter Social Club. Great price. Very clean room. We had a king room. Good size. Comes with a table and two chairs, bench, TV with cable, small refrigerator. I saw that some of the rooms seemed to even have kitchens. Their was wine in the room for purchase at a fair price. I like that they...

Brilliant. I was cycling through Los Alamos actually looking for a campground. I stopped by the hotel to see how much they were charging. As it was a super reasonable price, I decided to stay. I was surprised at how nice the room was for the price. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I totally recommend spending a night...

This is an old motel refurbished to make it attractive for modern travelers. It is handy to town, it is cute, very clean and has a great bath tub. The service in the office was also responsive (as was essential) and very good. However ... our room has no chairs, no desk, and a board for a dresser. There is...

Cute, friendly and fun. Hotel is well appointed but rather old school, no frills. Furniture is western rustic - faux cowhide rug, leather topped end tables etc. Bathroom small but adequate and the amenities are high quality. There was table & two chairs but NO drawers or shelves. I'm one who likes to unpack rather than dig thru bags -...

My daughter and I stayed here to check out the funky little town and attend an evening event at a local winery. We were so completely happy here. The decor was minimal, but modern and cozy. The bed was amazing and the claw foot tub was a fun experience! Our room was very clean. I loved the location, in walking...

I was here on business and wasn't expecting much. Gotta say, I loved this little gem. The room was tastefully decorated and I got the claw foot tub which made it all the cooler. There's a nice fire pit outside and the whole vibe is like you stepped back in time. It would be super romantic to come here with...

Stayed here with girlfriends as we went wine tasting for a couple of days before we had to go back to work. Our first room did not have a refrigerator but they quickly updated us to a room that had one. The room was cute and clean especially for the price. My only complaint would be the lighting inside and...

We snagged the last available room after perusing online on a drive back from Monterey to Los Angeles, and we're glad we did. Recently redone, the motel features spartan rooms with a cute aesthetic. Ideally located for walking to all the best spots in town for eating, drinking and antiquing. The only disappointment is the pictures online highlight the claw...
