We celebrate our Wedding Anniversary on New Year's Eve and for the last couple of years it has taken us to Long Beach. Staying at the Varden Hotel is a wonderful respite from the Larger "non personal" hotels that abound in Long Beach. From the first greeting to the going home after a stay, it is such a friendly atmosphere...

As someone in the special events industry it is part of daily life to find myself in all types of hotel properties. I really enjoyed my stay here while attending a conference in Long Beach. Why did I like so much? First, the service was outstanding. Second, the vibe was completely inviting. The minimalist decor is a personal favorite and...

It was a nice hotel with really nice people working there. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. The rooms are compact, but for the price it's well worth a stay. Location is good and within walking distance to everything near the convention center in Long Beach.

Nice little boutique hotel downtown, close to numerous restaurants, bars, and the harbor. Great accommodating staff. Small breakfast nook with keurig coffee service and limited breakfast items. We were in room 10 one floor above the street on the front of the hotel. Rail and street noise were significant but not too much for us. Rooms on the side of...

This is a great hotel and I'll stay here again next time. Orlando and the other management staff made the stay very excellent. The hotel is european style, personable and the rooms comfortable. I stayed during a convention and the short walk to the convention center was enjoyable and interesting with shops and Long Beach culture. The hotel is centrally...

A great boutique hotel. Clean a bit small to wash your face in the sink. Staff super friendly and helpful. Free bus that is just down the street. Other buses just1.25. Went to Belmont shores after I arrived. Toured the Queen Mary the next day. The staff checked to make sure I would have time before I had to leave....

The hotel staff is so friendly! This all white hotel is very cozy... the bed are super comfortable and the location is perfect for walking almost anywhere in downtown Long Beach. There is fruit, coffee and bottled water out 24/7. My only complaint is that it's a bit noisy. Ask for a room away from the street.

We stay there every year during the motorcycle show. The staff remembers us and welcomes us like close family members. They are so accommodating and generous. they allow us to store our bags until the room is ready and even hold our bags after check out until we actually leave town. The little extras they offer is something you would...

This hotel is a fantastic experience if youre younger and prefer style to absolute convenience. The staff were all absolutely amazing, accommodating, and friendly! Orlando went above and beyond to help make our stay even better, Thanks man! The bed was also extremely comfortable! I, honestly, had not expected this! Free wine from 5-7pm was a pretty nice, unexpected, touch...

This refurbished, downtown hotel is a "gem in the city." Location is perfect for walking in the city or to the pier or ride public transportation. Great parking for a modest fee right next door. Yes, the rooms are cozy; BUT, well designed for efficiency and comfort. with a "Bath in every room" as the historic sign on the building...
