My husband and I have been to Purple Orchid numerous times on weekend retreats to Livermore. It really is the only property of its kind in the area, and so for that reason, does stand out. Purple Orchid is a family run business, and always feels intimate and inviting inside. I typically stay in the Double Eagle room, as it...

Spent one night and this place was a real treat. Breakfast outside in the morning was superb! I would definitely return. Cozy rooms and pleasant staff are a plus. Not sure what else to say but I will recommend this others without a doubt.

My wife and I spent one evening and two days at the Purple Orchid Spa outside of Livermore. A superb place to relax and decompress after a long week. The pool and outdoor spa areas were fantastic as we especially enjoyed the service and helpfulness of the staff. We also had appointments for a massage in the adjoining Spa building,...

The wine and cheese plate were awesome. The sheets were super soft and cozy. BIG BIG suite - awesome for sure. What wasn't so great - the bathroom needs some work - paint peeling from wall by shower, the blinds wouldn't close (top down - couldn't find the lever) so when we were in the bathroom, the construction guys on...

We didn't stay here, although the rooms looked fabulous. We took advantage of a day-swim offer where you pay $25 each for a resort fee and get access to the spa for changing, etc. and the pool area including the hot tub. The setting is gorgeous in the midst of the Livermore wineries, next to a scenic hill. The pool,...

Review for the spa. We came here for birthday couples massage and while pricey, was a great experience. To be honest, we did not take full advantage of everything that was included with the price (relaxing pool time and drinks post massage) but it was still a great experience. The staff were very courteous and attentive, and the ambiance was...

Just lovely. Spent the day and had a facial. Pool closes too early on Saturdays but the rest was fabulous Salads were overdressed but nice by the pool. A wedding was being set up do we were asked to leave at 2:30. Feel they should give us a break in fees then but they didn't. I'll go back

When we first walked in to the main building, I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet and quaint it looked. However, For paying over$300 a night, there are certain amenities that are expected which were missing at The Purple Orchid...example, there were no luggage stands in the room which even the cheapest hotels always have. Also, no hairdryer, ironing board,...

I'm not one to typically complain about things. I usually keep negative comments to myself. But I had to say something about this place. I stayed in one of their King Suites.when I first walked in everything seemed ok. But when you look a bit closer you notice more things. - The doors to your room are mostly glass. Not...

We needed a place that was not too far from our home in Napa to relax for a couple of days. The Purple Orchid filled that niche quite nicely. Nestled in the country among the vineyards and olive groves, this oasis provided comfort and quiet. Two days of enjoying breakfast and lunch outside by the pool as well as a...
