This was a charming little motel. The staff is friendly and the garden in the back is beautiful. The flowers planted every where gave the place a very cheery feel. We were in room #3 for two nights. The shared bathroom and shower were right next door and parking was right in front of the room which was convenient. Both...

We just stayed one night and the only room available had 2 twins with the shared bath. While the room was very cramped, we did have a sink and a small desk but it was cute, clean, and up to date with nice linens. We did not have AC and it was a bit noisy. I normally don't like shared...

I stayed in Unit #5 which is described as a double & twin, en suite bathroom. Much to my delight each bed was in a separate room. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Bathroom is very small. Attached to motel is the Latte Da coffee shop which served delicious coffees and an assortment of baked goods and sandwiches. There is a...

We stayed here before a visit to Yosmite National Park. Excellent spot to access Tuolumne meadows. See the sunset at Mono Lake and stay for the night sky. The hotel has a beautiful garden with many birds and flowers. An absolute joy to sit in. The coffee was excellent. The place had a great vibe. Easy to talk to other...

we booked three nights here based on the website . Our room had a small bathroom unlike many who had to share a very small shower cubicle and toilet cubicle. The bed was old as was everything else. Only some of the lights worked, the shower was small and smelly. Basic just a bed, a couple of old chairs and...

The place is really quiet until that intermittent car or semi roars past the top of your head. The Windows have no curtains and the street lights shine in. This place is on I mean on the highway. There are constant trucks roaring by. If it were quiet we could work around the light. Even ear plugs don't help. The...

We had a great night hear, central location in middle of town with a room leading out to the garden. Beautiful spot to sit in the evening. Nice and quiet. Comfy bed and nice coffee shop. We only had one night but would have spent many an evening in the garden watching the hummingbirds.

We stopped on our way from Vegas to Yosemite, and found everything to be fine. The people who run the motel also run the restaurant, so check-in is at the café register! Don't let that put you off--everything was very nice.

Walking in here reminded me of Nepal, high altitude, a bit eclectic, and a lot of charm. The rooms are small, the bathrooms shared and the facilities are minimal. Really enjoyable and very memorable. The garden was filled with birds and end-season flowers. The coffee was great and the staff young and fun

El Mono is a well maintained funky place. It is clean and well kept. We did select a room with a private bath but if you select the shared bath it is necessary to go outside to reach the toilets and showers. The coffee shop has good coffee and a good selection of pastries cookies and sandwiches
