Very large hotel with wonderful onsen with views on to Hell Valley which was literally a 5 minute walk away. Nothing like sitting outside in a hot spring bath watching the snow fall around you. Stayed in a Japanese style room which was extremely comfortable. Buffet food quality could be improved.

We visited for a day trip use after referring to a handy guide provided by the information centre about fees and facilities of some of the hotels in the area. Access was 1500 yen per person after 4pm which included towels and a small locker (a shoe locker cost 50 yen or 100 yen for a bigger one). Lots of...

Alright, let get this really clear. I've (family) been to this property every year (since 2007) for winter holiday. Stay for a night with great selection of onsen, hiking trails in the back yard and wide spread of buffet. Every visit to this location always leaves us with great memories... I could have written this review back in 2015, but...

Our travel agent arranged this hotel and we were very satisfied with it. It is a large place so don't expect to find a 300 year old quaint ryokan. The view of Jigokudani was wonderful. There are several baths. It doesn't get any better than to soak in a hot springs in Japan.

This was the classiest hotel we stayed at during our honeymoon in Japan and both the rooms and facilities are very impressive. The quality and variety of the hot springs, together with their views over 'Hell Valley' make for a memorable relaxing experience. We stayed in a Garden View tatami mat room and it was of a very high standard....

For those travelling from Saporro main jr station, the hotel offer a direct bus transfer to the hotel and vice versa at 500 yen per pax, convenient and fast. The location of the hotel is next to the Onsen park and 10 mins walk to the bear park. Room is spacious for a family of four with traditional futon bed....

Different type of hot spring is equipped including sauna and the space is big enough, even swimming pool is provided (located 1 floor under hot spring room), no worries to relax in a crowded places. Hotel served good quality of various food...

The service is excellent and staff is patient although they are poor in conversing in English. We took the tatami room and it's spacious even for a family of 4. We headed to the Ryoken straight and it's spacious , with a variety of pools for choice. The highlight would be the dinner buffet, with a spread of seafood and...

We initially thought the Donan bus from jr Noboribetsu station will reach the bus stop in front of hotel. But it seems like there was a change in time table. N the hotel staff told us the bus stop in front of hotel is for those coming from another station. Anyway we never found out what's what. The Hell Valley...

This is my second time to a Ryokan. The previous place was Kohantei at Lake Toya. So based on previous experience, I must say the stay at Dai-ichi Takimotokan was wonderful. The check-in was smooth. I was pleasantly surprised that the porter was a group of cheery Japanese women! We had a Japanese style room. It was spacious to accommodate...
