We were transferred from the station to this hotel (which had been pre-booked as part of our tour). When we arrived, we were met by super-friendly staff who extended a very warm welcome to us. All other staff that we met were equally welcoming. Breakfast and dinner in the hotel were very nice and served in a charming dining room....

Very warm welcome from the staff, they were super helpful with everything. The hotel is beautiful and authentic and the restaurant is atmospheric and the food excellent. The location is great, calm and peaceful but within easy reach of all the sights. Would thoroughly recommend Yide as the perfect place to stay in Pingyao

We loved Yide Hotel, our quaint and welcoming home during our stay in Pingyao. This beautiful ancient mansion extending over several courtyards was once the home of a wealthy Pingyao merchant family. The dreamy back courtyard framed by picturesque one storied buildings containing comfortable guest rooms, including ours, was a wonderful place to recover from the bustling streets outside. Sitting...

Pingyao and this hotel were recommanded to us by friends who live in Beijing. The trip was absolutely worthwhile, even if it was raining all the time we where there. The architecture of the well preserved buildings in the old town, which is sourrounded entirely by city walls, is absolutely stunning. The Pingyao Yide Hotel is one of those courtyard...

First of all this is a hike out in the middle of no where. Having said that we chose Pingyao and specifically this inn to experience lost in time old China. I watched the movie, Raise the Red lantern which was filmed in this village. I choose this inn carefully and all was what we hoped. After taking a hide...

My original room was quite small, and as I was there for 3 nights asked if I could upgrade to a larger room. It was no problem and was shown a selection of rooms available for the stay. The place was comfortable, lovely and the staff very obliging and friendly. Very central.

Excelent Hotel! the room was cozy and really antique, the building itself if a museum and should be wandered around a little bit. Eat in the in-house restaurant, it´s fantastic, the best meals we had in Pingyao. We arrived by train and asked to be pick-up at the train station, the driver was in time and very polite. The staff...

If you're looking for a 5 star hotel, this is not it. But if you're looking for a beautiful 5 star Chinese experience, then stay here. The location in the old city is terrific, the hotel itself is the sort of place people pay to go in and have a look at, with actual historic rooms and courtyards. The standard...

We also enjoyed lunch and breakfast in the hotel restaurant and could not fault the food and service. We also used the hotel transfer service which picked us up and dropped us...

WOW WOW WOW words do not work here. Staff great location brilliant, food lovely but it is all dominated by the setting. I would travel to China just to stay here it's that good. You are in an ancient City in an old Courtyard Inn straight out of a Scene from Monkey or Crouching Tiger hidden Dragon for the Younger...
