Horrible. Arrive first day no electricity. Day 2 no water. Night rain with water coming through the roof. The much said about the bar. No food are there. The credit card machine dont work. Alway demanding payment in cash. Should be delisted from Lonely Planet and Rough guide. Presently in bad shape. Noisy sound from nearby discotique.
We have stayed here a few times over the last 9 years but it is now completely incompatible with a holiday night... And you can do far better. We stayed one night while passing through, and it was unpleasant. Loud rave music thumps nearly all night long (until 3am) from nearby outdoor 'club' that will give you plenty of time to reflect on the 'wisdom' of your room choice to stay here. I would suggest that any good reviews you might see here will be for people enjoying the spot for food and drinks. In that regard it is a more typical khmer coast experience. Staff are friendly and do their best with what they have to work with.
I echo the other reviews. This was probably a lovely little haven when first built but now it has been let go to seed. No working A/C. No working TV. But the worst was the 100 decibel boom boom boom of the club on the nearby pier until 3 am.
Cool dining spot next to the water. Friendly staff and full bar if you just want a drink. It is far enough down the waterfront path that it is peaceful. I usually go about over a week to unwind and chill. The steaks are fantastic!
Didn’t stay at the hotel, but dropped in on the bar while waiting a few hours for our ferry boat and again waiting for our mini bus at the end of our Koh Rong break. It’s a 100m or so from the ferry dock so is a lot more quite and got seats right in the beach. Had Iced coffee on both visits. Very nice. Had a huge pizza for lunch which was fine. Good value. Free wi-fi and toilet. All you need to kill an hour or two.
