Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent guest house. Not fancy from the outside but the rooms were very nice, clean and had everything you need. VFelt very homely. The owner was so generous, kind and very helpful. My friend was unwell during our stay and the owner kindly gave him medicine and extra water. Lovely breakfast on our patio outside our room. Very relaxing. Hidden treasure. Across from the beach.

Amazing location across from the beach…Kirsten (owner) went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic stay…her breakfasts and coffee were both delicious! We enjoyed her company and got to learn a lot about Sihanouk! I really recommend this place!

I went there with my family (one wife, 2 kids, aged 6 and 9) to spend only one evening in order to run the Half Marathon in Sihanoukville. The landlady Kristin was so nice. Breakfast was huge and she always had a nice word for us or for the kids....

The owners Gerald & Kristin may very well be the best hosts in the business!!! So genuinely warm and welcoming... Generous and sincere... My room was great... Clean, good shower, spacious with a great bed...Large and very comfortable. The complex was built with love and felt like a green oasis. Seconds from the beach and with a lovely restaurant next door... I didnt care for Sihanoukville these days, To much Chinese construction EVERYWHERE!!! But the Spayhiti is a little gem 💎 ... At the end of Ochhueteal this is a place not to be missed...

Enjoyed a perfect welcoming stay for a few nights. Extremely friendly and helpful hosts and staff. Lovely spotlessly clean spacious room with gardens and pool. Riverside bar or beachfront area view. Lovely breakfast included. Beach 20m away. Peaceful at the end of Ocheuteal Beach with easy access to Otres beach also. A little haven away from the chaos of central Sihanoukville and the current world issues. Completely safe and definitely recommended.

As good as last year. Wonderfully comfortable bed. Great breakfast and a great dinner (by request). Very amiable and helpful hosts. Will be returning soon. Sihanoukville town seems less frantic than last year.

The room is decent and located right in front of the sea, and the host is kind and warm. The rooms smell musty for some reason, and the bathroom tends to feel. Overall, an ok place if you want to spend one night in Sihanoukville. I will recommend the restaurant next door for some lovely continental as well as Khmer food.

The room is decent and located right in front of the sea , the host is really kind and warm . I picked the place because of the raving reviews but the place is average, the rooms smell really musty for some reason and the bathroom has a tendency to smell . Overall an ok place if you want to spend one night in sihanoukville . Will definitely recommend the restaurant next door for some lovely continental as well as Khmer food .

We had the intention of arriving at Sihanoukville and quickly getting on the boat to Koh Rong! Well, boat was cancelled and suddenly we are trapped in what can only be described as a construction site, littered with garbage. Having been forced to find somewhere to stay in this city we looked on booking.com and came across this property. We decided to walk from the Serendipity Pier to the accommodation to avoid being well and truly ripped off by the tuk tuk drivers praying on stuck westerners. It rained, we were hassled by locals on the beaches and by stray dogs following us. Once we arrived, wet, grumpy and disheartened by our journey we were met by an incredibly welcoming lady that owns the property and she made us instantly feel welcome and took us straight to our room. The room was beautifully decorated, clean, warm and comforting. Exactly what we needed. The lovely owner told us where to get dinner from and informed us of where we could exchange/buy other boat tickets from for the next day. We slept very well on easily the softest bed we’ve slept in, in South East Asia. We were given breakfast for a very small charge and the lovely owner helped order us a reasonable tuk tuk price to get us back to the pier. As it was raining and we arrived later than expected we did not use the pool but it looked clean and on a sunny day I would have definitely used it! It’s also probably less than 100m from the beach! We learned that Chinese investors have taken over the Sihanoukville area and are currently building up new buildings and this is why it’s in such a state at the moment. I would 100% stay at Spayhiti again but I would not visit Sihanoukville. For a one night stay this was perfect for us and we could not have had a better host. If anyone finds them self in a similar position then you should stay here for some relaxation before further travels. Thank you for having us Spayhiti!
