Quite the little gem. Susan was great with booking and met us when we arrived.
Deck overlooking the river is great for sundowners.
The room looks like it was refurbished recently and is clean.

What a gem! This lodge is just outside of town so its really quiet and peaceful when the rest of town can get pretty hectic. Perfect little rooms with really comfortable beds plus thoughtful amenities such as coffee and popcorn. Spotlessly clean and well-kept, Oscar...More

What a surprise!! We visited early spring this year and the place was so fragrant with beautiful wild flowers.The room was so clean. Nice barbecue and dining areas outside. What a joy; We will be back.

I always know if an email doesn't go through due to a misspelling, because I receive an email alerting me to a problem (which I then correct and resend). I have had no other complaints regarding the receipt of the emails once they've been sent out.
As for the early am call... the only reason I mentioned it in my response was because I knew most people would understand that not everyone is a morning person and that sometimes our brains aren't fully functioning that early. Technically, our office doesn't open until 9am, but I almost always answer the phone anyway, because I don't want folks to have to leave a message.
My husband & I live on property and manage full time. This means working 7 days per week, 12-14 hours per day. And until this week, we had worked 3 months solid without a day off. We work very hard to run a quality establishment and to meet & exceed all of our guests needs.
The owners have put policies in place based on their 30+ years of running small businesses such as this. We have found that rarely do these policies create any sort of problems for our guests. Your situation was slightly unique and unfortunately, I did not have an easy fix since our merchant, B of A, has not made it easy for us in terms of releasing the prior authorizations. In order to do so, we need to obtain the card holder's bank information and then contact that bank to request a release. Most of our guests are using a credit card, so this is not an issue. However, the use of a debit card is different.
All this said... I sincerely apologize for not being more awake the morning that you called and for not doing a better job of assisting you! We strive to keep all of our guest happy and I certainly failed you in that regard.
