The Jamestown Hotel has lots of old time atmosphere but is fully renovated, updated, and exceptionally clean. Easy access right off Hwy 120/108 with parking in rear. Didn't realize that there was no TV but didn't miss it in the end. Bed was very comfortable. Staff is genuinely warm and friendly. Restaurant was very good and bar was nice. Complimentary...

We were travelling through on a road trip and stopped in here for a night - it was really good. Nice room, comfortable bed. We went down in the morning and had a good breakfast and ended up talking for a while with the owner over coffee. A nice relaxing stop on our trip, would highly recommend!

Excellent restored hotel. Our suite was comfortable and perfectly decorated in a time long ago. Loved sitting on balcony viewing the colors of Fall that lined the streets. Staff friendly. Food excellent. Definitely will plan to go back.

Stayed in Room 1 at the front of the building. Very comfortable bed I over slept ! No fridge or microwave in room, but this didn't bother us. Had a wonderful dinner in the restaurant. Sitting on the balcony was a favourite pastime - overlooking Main Street, which is not too busy. A very relaxing quiet place to stay after...

The bed was really comfy, the room was very nice and the service from all the staff was very good. A good old fashioned proper American hotel. It was well placed for a nights stay after crossing through the Yosemite national park before heading out to San Francisco the next day.The town is not very big and can be viewed...

The location of this hotel in Jamestown is really great. They've done some nice renovations, but kept the look historic. The staff here were all super friendly, there's a nice big bar, and the food was really good. Why two stars? My wife and I stayed in room 4, and unfortunately this room had bed bugs. The day we left...

We had out-of-town visitors and decided after they arrived to take them to visit the gold country for 2 nights. We picked Jamestown because it was near Columbia, the old west state park. And we picked the Jamestown Hotel because of Trip Advisor. It is a terrific hotel in the most interesting and nicest of the small gold country towns....

Spent two nights at the hotel while visiting Yosemite. A superbly well run and maintained hotel with lovely views down the main street from the veranda at the front. We ate in the restaurant on the second night and wished we'd eaten there on both nights. The owners and staff were particularly helpful and friendly. Would recommend without any hesitation.

The Jamestown hotel, owned by Charlie, a Motorcycle owner and rider, is such a fun, charasmatic, gracious guy!!! He is such a fown to earth guy, he was hanging out with us while we were having a delicious dinner. Wendy our waitress, was very personable but not intrusive. The food is exceptional, not to salty, not to overpowering. save room...

We stayed at this hotel on Labor Day after most of the crowds had gone. It is an historic inn that has been beautifully restored with each room being differently furnished. We stayed in the Jenny Lynn room that had a comfortable king bed and a queen bed in a separate bedroom. The baths are modern but with historic tile...
