I would definitely recommend this for any outdoors enthusiasts! New owner Raj is most welcoming and accommodating. He's working very hard to update the facilities- especially the showers! Good stop for PCT trekkers! Try the scones!

Located just outside of the downtown area of the village of Idyllwild along one of the main highways, which can be a bit noisy, this is a clean, well kept establishment with relatively small motel type rooms as well as a few cabins. Not all of the rooms are air conditioned, and in the middle of summer a/c might be...

The Idyllwild Bunkhouse has very recently changed ownership, January of this year. It's a rustic motor lodge that was built in 1948. The rooms have a "cabin " feel to them. The rooms are on the small side, but are quite comfortable. A continental breakfast is delivered to your door each morning. Equipped with a kitchenette and small outdoor balcony...

The new owners were very friendly. They allowed us to use the showers after our hike, even though we had checked out hours ago. The rooms were comfortable and had a nice rustic feel. Also, they are replacing the showers, so they should be nice for anyone staying there in the future.

This has been our go-to spot for years. I usually take my husband here for his birthday yearly and been please every time. We have stayed in both a regular rooms and stand-alone cabins. This year we booked March 4th to the 6th and have unfortunately came across new owners who had zero customer service skills. Of the 2 nights...

Nickeled and Dimed" We are very sorry that your stay with us was disrupted by having to pay the fees for your pets. We have no control over the many booking sites out there, only our own. Unfortunately, they don't all charge you directly. They simply tell you that you will owe what remains when you arrive. It is a...

I surprised my wife with an early Valentine's day trip to Idyllwild and chose the Idyllwild bunkhouse for our stay. The ownership just recently changed and couldn't have been more accommodating. Mischel (innkeeper) as well as Raj and his wife (owners) impressed on every level including a complimentary bottle of champagne in our fridge. We stayed in the Woodland Vista...

In my books, this place is a definite 'must stay'. As a travel counselor, I have been to many places and have a lot to compare to. Upon arrival, I was met by the most pleasant hostess and was asked if I would be checking out before breakfast was delivered. This piqued my interest and I advised her that I...

Was in Idyllwild for a friends wedding and made the mistake of staying here in room 12, i put in the room because other rooms may be better. the metal Shower stall was so rusted that the pan was separating from the frame and the top of the sink was only 20 inches from the floor so it came just...

I've stayed here several times over the years and always enjoy a return visit. The log cabin interior is warm and welcoming, and it's so convenient having a full kitchen. Nice view of the trees from the private deck off the back. Walls are thin and I've heard some interesting things happening on the other side, but this is a...

Will miss this quaint place to relax and get away from the turmoils of the big city.Hope the new owner will restore the place and re open it again. It is in need of new shower stalls, carpeting and in general needs to be cleaned up and modernized.
